If you set the windows env variable CONTINUE_FROM_OOS to TRUE, it will keep Creo from shutting down when it encounters a trail file error. Additionally, if you look in the current trail file, it writes the line number of the trail file you are running where the error occurred. Just have to use a txt editor that uses line numbers like vi or notepad++.

Yes, trail files apply to anything you did in your Creo Parametric session, with parts, assemblies, drawings, manufacturing models, and so on.

@@CADPLMGuy i have 1 drawing file whichh was crashed by fetal error while saving i am trying to run trail file after deleted those crash command bt its still crashed when drwaing programmes executing . please help me

If the trail file crashes when running, try deleting more lines from the end of the file. As I mentioned in the video, I estimate I might have a 20% success rate at getting trail files to recover my work but that’s better than nothing.

Hi! I´ve been exploring the versioning system for files (parts, assembly, etc) that CREO has and i find out that the "delete old versions" option doesn´t work for me. It´s on the manage file dropdown list. Any ideas why? Also i would like to know how if there´s any other way to delete older version of working files.

In this instance, can I assume that you are not using Windchill? If you are saving locally, it's most likely Windows folder permissions - especially if you are using Windows 10. Does your Windows user account have admin permissions? Have you tried running Creo as administrator? Have you tried changing the security permissions on the folders that you save to? Normally those actions aren't necessary, and I can tell you that Creo will delete a file in a second if you tell it to. I suspect that it's Windows getting in the way.

@@CADPLMGuy I was saving locally, yes. I used one of Olaf's proEsite utilities to solve the problem though. I could't find something on Windows. Thanks btw.

I'm glad Olaf was able to help you. I've bumped into him a few times over the years at PTC User conferences and Technical Committee meetings. Great guy and I was able to express my gratitude for all the knowledge I've gained from his website.

Keep this a secret (ha ha) but I've just been invited by PTC to present at this year's conference.
