Both Al & Scott Neumann (Geo-Tol.,) are Excellent Resources for 3-D Parametric Modeling. Size, location controls, (Profile can be location orientation & form) orientation controls, and form controls detail-the SLOF hierarchy. Yon can show more "Geo-Tol" examples as these guide the novice to the flexible language of GD&T. Keep doing quality 3-D modeling of "KZbin" geometric tolerancing CAD/CNC video parts. A Big THANKS! Agreed! I haven't taken classes from Al, but Scott completely demystifies GD&T. Anyone interested in learning should definitely reach out to them.

Hi Dave, great tutorial as usual. However my annotations disappear as soon as I click "OK" about 9:12 in the video. I have the DRV_DIM list showing but when I click on them the annotation does not show. I am in the "Default All" tab as I have not attempted MBD tabs yet.

I think a diameter symbol was intended to be added with the tol value in the positional tolerance callouts

Previous versions of Creo did an auto basic dimensions. In these newer versions is that not the case anymore? I noticed you had to make your own dimensions basic!

@@CADPLMGuy all versions prior to ribbonizing gdt and dimensions? Def Creo 2 and prior. I'd add a gdt and it would ask if I wanted to make all dims associated basic and I'd select yes.

It’s based on your drawing standard. I forget which is which, but I think ISO has the leading zero and ANSI does not.

did you need to state a "2 X" on the smaller hole annotation or is the other hole going to be annotated on another plane? sorry if i missed it in the video

I made that video 2 years ago. I don’t remember. I could have missed the 2X as I was probably concentrating on the Geometric Tolerances given the title of the video and not the dimensions.

I don't remember the diameters. From what I remember of the video, I didn't fully annotate the model. The intent was probably to show people how to create a few datums and feature control frames.

Hi, could you show how keep the geometric tolerance at 3 decimal like .010, I'm currently using Creo 4.0 and it keeps removing the last zero to .01. Thanks

Hi Dave, when I try to make a dimension as basic dimension my TOLERANCE drop-down menu was grayed. The same happened to me when I try to put +- tolerance. Am I missing any step?

Set the tol_display config option to yes.

With MBD, can we dimensions in isometric view??

With MBD you can create dimensions in any orientation; in 3D there really isn't an isometric view. It's just a matter of selecting the appropriate Annotation Plane before creating a dimension.
