I bought the hardback, and it's good apart from the missing talent on page 106. Osprey gaming were nice enough to supply me with a free copy of the ebook, but that has exactly the same issue. I think I'm going to have to homebrew the Focus talent and give myself writing credit for the game at this rate...

Thank you for this! While I love Cyberpunk RED, I was really interested in this game for its interesting setting. I just might pick this up in the future once I have more time to actually play it. I've personally loved everything from Osprey so far, so this definitely didn't disappoint from what you explained. Great video as always though! Your channel deserves more attention for how much you do to highlight lesser known RPGs

I'm just in the process of creating a character and getting into CP Red! It's been almost 20 years since playing Cyberpunk last time using the d20 Modern system and haven't played with the actually CP systems since the 90's. It's a really cool deviation from my usual fantasy and fun knowing there are alternative systems and worlds kind of in the genre as well!

This game seems super cool, but I can't help but feel that the author just wanted to be different saying the game isn't cyberpunk. It's a game about a group of individuals who for some reason or another are cast out of society fighting against greater powers. Whether that be government, gang, police, or corp. Beyond that it clearly has a theme of transhumanism, as it says that natural humans have been outclassed by genetically/mechanically engineered means, which is a super common theme in cyberpunk

Interesting review, i might have to check it out in the future! I was wondering how the actual violence worked though, does it operate on skill checks to deal random damage, or some other way? How does the combat feel to play?

It is. Author is a pretentious hair splitter who thinks remixing the elements slightly makes a new genre. Blade Runner was literally neon noir.
