Any gold in the black sand?

no pans panned on this trip, mostly just needed to get to the edge of the north and put feet in sand. : )

That magnified sand from the beach was awesome to look at. Amazing what the naked eye misses.

Wow that green and blue and purple chert with the dendritic growth is gorgeous, Those little carnelians are gorgeous! And i loved the eel bones! thats awesome! And that samd under magnification shows you why sand is a silicate! Such beautiful colors and textures of it! Things that you cant readily see, even when its right under our noses, and such gorgeous beauty, that is the micro world! So wonderful, you dont want to grow big again and leave it! Thank you for sharing!

I always like the "closer look" with the microscope. So many pretties.

ok cool ! different look than the stuff i'm used to. I know its a "common " stone, but the compactness and shine of it was very attractive, love seeing all the different textures of a stone from one region to the next, just when something gets familiar , travel a hundred miles and everything changes in textures and tones of metamorphosis .....I have more the larger grainier flows near me, and... no ocean to polish it for me. thank you !

Awesome !! I remember riding back from Yellowstone, and other places out west, with my parents, home to Kentucky, when I was a kid..We had so many rocks in the trunk of the car...Lol 👍 Squatting......Love rocks, and treasures ...Some people just don't understand, I guess......

I was in Cresent City briefly, no chance to go beaching because I was heading up to the Rougue River which was very nice. And I remember hearing the seals, but it was so foggy we couldn't see anything! Awesome rocks!

Great Post Nate❣️Northern West Coast Beaches Really ROCK❣️Can you share what type of camera equipment you use? The zoom and macro seem very good❣️Keep on Rockin❣️
@QuestForDetails2 жыл бұрын
I use the Sony handy cam for rocks for its zoom features, its not a H D , but the macro is what I'm after, the auto focus allows you to get in close, and the other options with similar ability's tend to be large and expensive and way less rugged, still a HD camera with the macro auto focus that was small and compact would be great... this is as close as ive come so far, and then a go pro hero black for the underwater, wide, and higher def. thanks for watching !

I have been waiting for you to pick up some of the “heavies” and cut them... b😃 THANK YOU NATE, Thank You SO Much!!! Living along the Truckiee River, Nv, I count my blessings with every breath and every stone. Even more so, since I began following and learning so much these past few year from you. I don’t do face book and I have a giant specimen of what I think is Chalcedony. It cane out off the Sutro mine (with owner’s permission) hoping you will help me classify it....some day. Again and always..love to your entire Clan and Thank you for your kindness and wisdom. Have a beautiful weekend 🤤 OxOxO 🐕🦺🦋
