Nice edit! Your built is really stable and with the beautiful landscape it's magic!

ive seen your pic at BG and googled it. was thinking this looks like an s800 fuse but the wings have KFM airfoil! the video looks better than most s800 but i think your fpv49 videos are more stable. whats the story with the hybrid?

Awaiting Kaffi's answer but I guess portability. Kaffi can you backpack the plane?

Hello, first of all - this wing is smaller than a 123cm Trond/FPV49. Size matters seriously when you need stable and smooth movement in the air. Smaller planes will always be inferior to bigger ones. So you can't really compare the S800 to a Trond3/4 / FPV49 - it's not fair. I have built the extra wings because I was very dissatisfied with the unruly behavior in the air. Performance-wise, the original wings surpass the KFM wings clearly - that means they need less energy to stay up and it also can fly faster. But if you want to use it a s a camera platform, they are crap compared to the KFM wings. The material of the foam is great, however. You can see that very hard landing while I missed the bush - nothing was broken exept the prop. The fuselage took all the crash-energy without damage. But that is why I have no second flight that day. What you see is in fact just one 1300mAh 3S battery. I tried different things with the basic construction, but I was not succesful. It did not fly better, still shaky. Very bad for video. The KFM wings were my last idea and the most succesful one. It is still inferior to my Trond4, but better than before. I worked so much on it because I like the small formfactor and the basic idea. Now I can still detach the wings and it fits into a medium sized Backpack. I have put it into a small travelers-bag, together with some bubble wrap to protect it and it went onto a plane as hand-luggage. But it's nothing that you want to detach and mount everytime. It will wear off to some degree and I have to keep the wings from moving away from the fuselage with tape. If it does not have to travel, it will stay mounted or unmounted. But, this one also was an experimenting platform for INAV. And in fact INAV saved me this one on Crete, while I was flying behind a mountain-back and lost control and video. INAV was programmed to lift the plane with full throttle for 30m immediately and then fly back. And that is what it did. I recovered control and video within 5 seconds.
