Honestly just fish how you do at home and what you have confidence in. A bait boat is a must in some swims so if you have one definitely take it. PM me on messenger if you have any specific questions and I’ll try and answer them for you

Noticed at the start you done a night in a hotel we are out there beginning of August and looking for a place to stay on the Friday where the vans will be safe. Where did u stay

Hi Nikki, We stay at the Ibis hotel in Soissons. It’s on bookings.com Works out about £65 per night and it’s about 15 minutes away from the venue. Dead easy to find and there’s an Aldi there for anything you need (beer😂) plus Mac Donald’s, Kentucky or Burger King 2 minutes walk away.

Hi Paul, really enjoyed the video, looked like a really great trip. I'm off to Parco Del Brenta at the end of the year and was thinking of filming the trip. Can I ask what equipment you use to do your filming? Cheers, Kevin

Hi Kevin, most of this trip was filmed on my iPhone and edited using Nero editing software. Tom and I do both have cameras with videoing on those too but the latest iPhone are great quality I found.

Yeah love it at Cretelakes Kevin. Off there again in 4 weeks. Fingers crossed for the big un I couldn’t manage on this trip. Good luck at Parco and I’m sure you’ll get some good footage from there, especially if you nab a few of the real monsters that swim around in there.

Hey mate I'm out in July. You got any tips and and best lake I like the look of lake 1. Also can you use zigs there thanks

Yeah no problem using zigs out there. In fact they are well worth a go especially when you are there in July. Those hot summer days, zigs would probably be your best bet. Lake 1 has 3 double swims and 4 single swims but 3 of those single swims are bait boat only so you’d probably want a double to make it easier to spod over the top. As you can see I used about 20k of stick mix this trip. I’d say that would be ideal to spod over zigs.

It will all come down to the luck of the draw mate. A lot of the doubles go early in the draw normally but you never know. PM me on messenger and I’ll share what I’ve learnt over the years of going there for what it’s worth😂

Defo zigs mate, I’ve just got back and fished peg 55 for 2 nights and had 3 bites in 6 hours on zigs, lucky depth for me was about 5’10 in around 7ft of water.. black with tiny bit of yellow foam on top 👍🏽
