Thanks for the great review. It is funny that you mentioned the power on cycle and power off cycle for some of the machines. Wondered if you might make a few videos of the best and worst power on/off sequences. That would be interesting...

Hi thanks for the review, do you have a favorite? I have an older model jura that has retired and i love the quick espresso shots, but because i like a really thick foam I'm a little reluctant on the one touch. I do like the dual heating block. I also enjoy the fresh beans and the large water tank i need a new machine but am having trouble picking one.

The thickest foam is possible with the new "Fine Foam Frother" which is not part of the S6 One Touch, but afaik they do have a seperate Fine Foam Frother that is compatible. That foam is really thick. it could hold your spoon straight up.

I know this will sound like a spoiled brat, but essentially, I want a one stop automated unit with minimum cleanup and effort because Im too busy in the mornings to deal with it. In addition to the S9, I was also looking at the XS 90 but that seems to be too much machine for a single guy who just wants espresso in the mornings and perhaps a capp in the afternoon etc. what are your thoughts?

1m0nik1 I believe the only difference is the color; the S9 featured in our video and your Classic Black One Touch should be the same. The Oracle is an amazing espresso machine and is very popular with our customer base. The S9 is more of a superautomatic one-touch and the Oracle takes a little extra thought and effort. If you want more of a one-touch automatic machine than the S9 is a great choice! :-) ~ Sarah

Oh man! Try it allllll! We will say, avoid dark roasted oily beans as that will cause your machine to freeze up over time. We'd recommend a delicious medium body blend. My favorite right now is Huckleberry's Phantom Limb! www.seattlecoffeegear.com/huckleberry-roasters-phantom-limb-blend

i have the impressa e9. it's making the most amazing coffee i've ever had consistently but there are a few issues. it takes a LOT of coffee powder. i don't think it has ever NOT said "add more powder". it'll make the coffee anyway at times but most of the time it just spits out a few ounces of water. i just used 3 tablespoons of illy coffee powder and it did nothing. i then added 1 tablespoon of crap folgers grounds and it made only the folgers and it was horrible!!
