I’ve been embroidering for about 15 years (started out doing simple embellishment for early Italian Renaissance sleeves and bodices) and have been happy with the re-emergence of hand embroidery, but these modern minimalist types are not for me. I’ve long admired Jacobean work but it was out of period for the area I was focused on (pre-1600). I stumbled upon your channel today and had a Eureka moment - THIS is the needlework that I’ve not realized until now I absolutely have to do!! Thank You ever so much for sharing your work ... the finished work at the end of this video is mind-boggling!

Why did you use the Saran wrap?

Phillipa uses it to stop the linen moving and it also protects the linen as you are stitching. Happy stitching Karen x
