To see the number of containers on the ship (and many more we can't see) gives me a pretty good idea of the weight involved, throw in the weight of the ship itself, and my mind boggles. Working with a torch from a man basket, with a water borne crane, with twisted masses of steel, they will be taking a while, as they should, damn dangerous.

Then you realize how incompetent the city officials have been for refusing to put safety first, on a key Bridge that is use to move most of America's Cargo by not having dolphins installed as safety barriers in front of those main structural pylons which would've easily prevented that ship from crashing into the Bridge. That's what dolphins are designed for and built for in the first place, they knew this was a problem to stop tragedies from happening. They should've learn their lesson from the SUNSHINE SKYWAY BRIDGE in Florida when a container ship crashed into the bridge and killed 35 people. but they failed to follow through with such safety measures. Sad situation if you ask me. Bridges in the US need to be seriously looked into to make sure their all up to par on safety concerns.
@abubakariabdulai95057 ай бұрын
The city officials are not incompetent, they didn't design the bridge. Even the engineers who designed it weren't incompetent. That was the knowledge at that time.
