Look how many matches he has played for india in the last 12 months. People are not just angry with Hardik for choosing Mumbai over GT, he took over captaincy from Rohit who has won them 5 titles, and he prioritized IPL over National duty. Unlike Ishan kishan and Shreyas iyer, He got saved because Jay Shah and he comes from the same state. Understand the larger picture.

On performance, he was selected as an allrounder but now rarely bowls, in batting also he comes late down the order and has not contributed much or won india matches lately. When we needed him the most in world cup 2023, he got injured again and was seen in Wankhede stadium in semi final enjoying the match with bollywood stars in the stands, so clearly money has gone to his head and he believes he is bigger than game.

I understand one thing, When Virat captaincy gone nobody hates and never reacts too loud on Rohit because ROHITMAN made their Aura and performed very well, that's why everyone accepted him as a leader and good human being... But the problem with Pandya is he never made such a level of Aura like, Virat/MSD & Rohit, that's why we the people can't accept Pandya as a captain. what will you achieve by changing captain after 7 match? It won't qualify if it loose 7 matches. Yes Mumbai had lost 4 consecutive matches but just recollect the Wankhede atmosphere... nobody ever booed the captain this way where the commentator had to say *Behave". Whether the captaincy goes away or not I have full faith in Mumbai Indians. This is not happening for the first time. The reason why they have lost so much is that they have shown a lot of faith in their younsters up until now and there's nothing wrong with that.
