4:49 It's my go-to shot in Cricket 07 once the field spreads out on a batter reaching 75 in a Test. Given I don't sweep the ball much, I can cut that away against spinners for easy boundaries.

I was struggling doing batting in cricket 24. Lesser with Arcade controls, but more difficult with Pro controls. But as a new gamer decided to develop habit of Pro controls. Usually I would play in normal mode using Pro controls and while batting my wickets would fall like anything. Scores like 3 for 6 wickets, 15/9, 20 all out etx were very common. I was trying to play using Pro controls. But was always struggling with timing. Most of the times, I would only use 3 buttons i.e. L2+ Left Joystick footwork + right joystick direction, I was not getting it right, Like when to press which key. So I discovered a unique method. I follow below steps.... 1) I only use 3 keys. L2+ left joystick+ right joystick. 2)Even before the bowler bowls a delivery, I press and keep holding L2, and left joystick down like for backfoot shot 3)Then I see the pitching point/ trajectory of the ball, and if full length ball, change the Left joystick direction to UP, if needed. 4) Now, I have to just press the Direction key using correct timing, because I am already holding the L2+ left joystick key pressed, So I get to more concentrate on just one key, i.e. right joystick, so I can hit with prefect timing, having only to care about just one key. In this way now, I am hitting fours and sixes like anything, at will, even to highly short pitch balls😊. But still I loose more wickets, but always make a bigger score, unlike earlier 15/9, now I easily make like 100/7 etc. Great improvement!😮 Now, I am just worrying about how to stop loosing so many wickets 😅. Thanks for patience with my long comment. I don't know if others also follow same steps like me, or press those three keys after the bowler releases the ball, but this method is working for me. Don't know if it is a bug or so, but I am happy with it, as long as I keep getting the boundaries 😂😂😂

Nice! I usually don't press any keys beforehand unless I am trying to hit a big shot. But short ball is something that I struggle with given the fact that I play with a high pace Visualization setting. IT is a guess work looking at the bowler's strength and weakness and the field set for me!

Hence, it is always ideal for you to contact the support team and see what they are saying. Anyway since the last patch a lot of issues going on with community teams. Just search the name of team in the community and set sort by to date. Check first 3 teams and those will most probably contain new kits. If not check the first whole line. If you want licensed kits wait for next patch as ross confirmed that they will be added in next patch

Bro I have always wondered that does pointing the left stick in the direction of ball has any effect on batting or do we have to just point upwards or backwards to choose frontfoot or backfoot

Yes, it will help you to reach the ball if it is wide. So if you wanna cover drive a full wide ball off the front foot it would be ideal to move the stick towards 7 or 8 o clock

It is a combination and varies from time to time. But, generally I move footwork first, just half a second before the direction.

Sometimes the footwork is poor sometimes ok specially while playing cover drives but while playing straight drives or on the leg side the footwork works good or even ideal I don't know why is that

I do prefer precision shots over defensive shots if I want to fend off deliveries or to hog strikes on the final ball of the over.

The odd thing is: You can't cut the ball on Arcade controls, and never do an aggressive shot on Easiest difficulty even if you are hitting it right to a fielder to get a cheap run. I had lost all my top 4 batsmen vs. Australia in the same T20 match tonight. Only difference: I still won because I used more bowlers to restrict Australia rather than trying to get wickets early.

how to turn off invert batting in Cricket 24? Like if i'm aiming toward cover, the batter will go for an on-side or leg-side drive. I dont see any option to invert it so the shot is played in the direction of the analog and not opposite.

I think it is a bit more nuanced here compared to standard, you can use the stick to move it to left and right too to get to the pitch of the ball. For simplicity, I have only used front and back foot movement here.

You will have to play around with the early and late timing window and set what is comfortable for you. Timing windows are different depending upon the camera so you will have to check it out yourself which suits you

It is based on preference. Arcade will use the buttons to play shot while Pro control will use the thumbsticks and shoulder buttons. Pro control has more shots and no bugs.

There is no such thing as that. Timing will vary from people to people depending upon the slider settings for late/early timing window, visualisation speed etc. You just have to practice it in the nets option in the game

Bro when i try to play a reverse sweep the spinner or play the upper cut the fast bowler by playing it at the 12clck direction but the batsman just sits on the ground with the bat and gets bowled 😢... Help bro

Why are you playing an uppercut if the length is on stump level? Reverse sweep- it’s all about execution, the timing has to be precise. To play at 12-o clock the ball has to be at head height atleast and timing has to be exact. If you miss even by a bit the shot becomes an impossible one and the game will change it.

You can adjust early late timing window difficulty if you are using custom difficulty/ sliders. Try to adjust it to your preference. Other than that just practice in nets mode to get used to ideal timing

Why there is no new patch coming? The game is still so glitchy. Sweep shot is not working, some stadium has lighting problems, and some other have camera problem. it still needs a lot fixing they shouldn't have stopped giving us new patches. And yeah commentary is even worst than cricket 22😂
