these days all bats from every brand are ubiquitous. their shapes are all the same. it comes down now to the finer detail. GN have always been top quality. i had the gn elite (robin smith bat) back in the 90's. Scoop designs have all but gone. ridge designs no longer exist. bats are designed to accomodate more pinch hitting than 'elegant' stroke play. if david gower was playing in this era he would look out of place with these chunky bats. graham gooch, ian botham and viv richards wouldnt be out of place in this era. great to hear from the master bat maker about his passion for bat making.
