i got the ss turbo retro edition as the original has been outlawed because its a laminated bat and the laws state it should be made of one piece of wood. gray nicholls is still the worlds best. i last used the ultimate bat of 92/93/94 that robin smith and david boon used.

But then again he is a pro cricketer so chances are it wouldn't have mattered what bat he used when younger bcause he wouldve scored lots of runs anyway

@@user76296 Sure, but as a pro he's also more likely to 'feel' the differences between bats. It reminds me of amateur golfers who have 'all the gear and no idea', there's no point buying a £500 driver because they're not good enough to need that 2% difference compared to the £250 driver and they won't notice any difference except for the logo 😉

White ball chews up new bats. Seem is harder. Ball is harder overall. Use in the nets before using against a white ball. Or use in red ball cricket first.
