A friendly suggestion. While grinding, drilling, cutting or doing other work where fine dust is produced, pls ensure you wear a proper nasal mask. This will save damage to your lungs in the long run. This maybe inconvenient while working but is a life saver. The fact most Doctors won't tell you is, when it comes to lungs(unlike heart or kidney) there's very little medical advancement and cure. Pls don't expose yourself to COPD or Fibrosis or asbestosis. All caused by fine dust. Thanks for reading. Take care. great videos!! I'm on a marathon watching spree.

Your workmanship cannot get better but not sure why the owner would spend more than the bat is worth on repairing and shipping the bat back and forth continents. For this price, its possible to get a new bat or a bat made to the exact specs.

The first preference of the batsmen is to get their bat repair because as we know the bat takes sometime before it get set... Old bat is well settled as the batsman has played too many matches with it... Hitting with a new bat will not be as easy for him as he was hitting with the old bat...

Inder Bajaj Hence why any serious cricketer (even at amateur level) will have a back-up match bat which has been knocked-in and played in the nets with the old ball. A match can also break during an innings? Then what do you do? Stop the game and run for repairs? A bat usually lasts 2 or 3 seasons. This bat looks well used, so owner should have already prepared a back-up as replacement which is identical to this bat. If this model is no longer available then there are plenty of batmakers in UK who can make a replica bat. So still wondering why he would send it across the hemispheres. But its his money, his time and he can do what he wants🤣

Inder Bajaj A bat generally has a life of 500 to 1000 runs if the bat has been taken care of which means oiling, knocking-in, regular repairs and playing with good quality balls from the middle of the bat. I am not sure this bat will last a long time and i wouldnt use it against a hard new ball. So the person definitely needs a backup bat :-)

Restoring a bat with one crack, or just a worn handle, makes sense. restoring *everything* makes sense only if you want something sentimental to put in a display case.
