Proud to be podarites from same batch as Dilip 1972-76. We were fortunate to watch Sandeep Patil from Ruia on small pitch of Matunga Gymkhana & hitting the ball on railway tracks for six.

So nice to see Dilip sir & sandeep sir after long time, old memories refresh again. I M so lucky that Dilip sir is my very good friend & always visit my place in Nasik, also pappu sir you also stayed in my hotel in Nasik few yrs back.

Namaskar we r very lucky to watch sp to watch from his 1st test match against Pakistan in 79 80 in Chennai n India won it sunny sir scored 166 n dv sir in Kolkata against Australia in 79 80 u played 79 went n came back n out how n why? Against khughes team

Had it been in Hindi or English, the video would have garnered more views. I am from Mysore. We passionate cricketers in Mysore,were fortunate in witnessing the Inter-University tournament in one year in the the 1970's. That was when we got to see Srikanth and Bharath Reddy play some stellar innings for the Madras University. We also saw Dilip Vengsarkar play for the Bombay University. He was a wicket keeper batsman then. We used to follow the two teams in various grounds just to see them play. I still remember Vengsarkar hitting a massive six in the N I E College Cricket ground, which landed on a road outside and then got lost somewhere. That six was much talked about in the city for days on end. We all knew that it was just a matter of time that he would go on to represent the national team. The very next year, Vengsarkar hit a scintillating century in the Irani Trophy. He hit Prasanna and Chandrasekhar, representing the Rest of India, all around the ground. This was the innings which won him a place in the National team the same year.
