Those were the days. I used to watch these matches after coming back from school. I watched almost all matches - every ball by ball. Life was slow back then, with no worries of tomorrow, doing full time pass with friends. Now for this recent 2023 ODI World Cup I had decided to relive those 1996 days, but just couldn't. In fact dint even watch many of India's matches. There is too much work, and the feeling I had had for Cricket back in time, has gone now. Watching these highlights take me back to those old peaceful times, albeit for 10-15 minutes.

Kenya was 100% scary than overrated Bangladesh back then. Their rise up was something else. First they beat Prime windies in 1996 wc, India in 1998 then they beat Prime Sri Lanka in 2003 WC. Plus they've qualified for the Semis. Just imagine if their cricket board will never looted them? They'll sweep the floor with them

Another upset was in 1983. India beat WI in their first league match. Till then WI were unbeaten in WC. In 1975 and 79 WC India played 6 matches winning only 1 match( East Africa).

Kenya vs West Indies encounter in 96 cricket world cup is a classic sample of a fixed match. There can no freaking reason for 2 times World Champion (1975 & 1979) West Indies to loose against 96 World Cup debutant Kenya.The target of 167 was chaseable yet Windies blew up the match as they loose by 73 runs.

They even beat India few times ig in 1998 or something. Kenya beat Sri Lanka(not the current looser squad. I don't have to tell you about how mighty they were back in early 2000s) in 2003 wc. They werr clearly better than overrated Kanglauru. If nothing happened to their cricket board they'll be a great team which dominates the icc events.
