I actually like that Hussey got in. I feel like he is very underrated and I think Huss even underrates how good he actually was and how important his contributions were. I'm not sure if it stemmed from the fact that he was the new comer in an awesome Australian side but he is definitely one of my all time favourites.

If that Aussie team didn't have that many legends Huss would have been in the team probably 4-5 years ago. He was truly very underrated. The number of times he saved the team from disastrous situations is uncountable. Its great that Ponting included him in the number 3 position because he certainly knew what a quality batsmen Hussey is!

I would like to know if a wicket was good for spinning and you decided to run 2 spinners who would they be? Would you run 2 leg spinners in Warne and McGill or would you throw in an off spinner like Nathon Lyon? Or maybe a left armer like Brad Hogg (not 100% sure he played an ashes series). I would also like to know what players narrowly missed out on a position in the side because i think that Mitchell Johnson would have been a good pick because of his lethal bowling and more than handy batting skills.

I don't mind if Hussey competes with Border for number 6 but Greg Chappell and Steve Smith should be the alternatives for number 3, given Ponting is obviously not going to pick himself, as few do when naming their all-star teams. Also, Craig McDermott should be in not Hogg.
