Someone who has watched 1999 world cup will agree that this was the best world cup. Some of the reasons - 1. The cricket outfits were evolving and were right on top in 1999 wc. Amazing jerseys! 2. The wc as scheduled in June- July. As an indian, summer holidays and cricket starting at 03:00 PM, what else you can ask for. 3. This world cup was a true contest between bat and ball. Batting used to be an art during those days. You need skills to bat in seaming conditions and against top class bowlers. 4. The world saw Shoaib Akhtar in full flow in 1999 wc. The FASTER bowler and in full flow in England swinging conditions. 5. Epic semifinal between Australis and SA that brought tears to almost everyone eyes. 6. Lance Klusenser showed the world what is the meaning of All Rounder. 7. Almost every team was strong. Even Zimbabwe beated India and South africa. Instead of watching live matches today, i prefer was this cricket gold. Thanks for uploading videos!

This worldcup was all about klusner , they declared klusner Man of the series even before semi finals . He punished world class bowlers in close encounters on the way to his victory . I still remember He also took 17 wickets in 9 matches..Most was 20 by warne and Allot .

I had a little bet with the guys at school that Pakistan would win the WC. During this match, I was on the edge of my seat. When Jonty Rhodes was out, I thought Pakistan had it in the bag. But Kallis and Pollock stabilised things, and then of course, Zulu pulled it out of the fire. He deserved his MOTT award, although Neil Johnson, Roger Twose and Warne ran him close.
