That little run down to third man works well at the start Scolls!

Tom, fluid batting mate. Smooth as ever. Loving that calm and composed demeanour. Trying to understand why did you bat at 6? I am sure you are more effective at your usual 3 spot.

Great watch (again) and well batted. How does the standard here compare with the English leagues (e.g. Enfield etc)??? The bowling attack looks like it has more depth?

Just curious, why weren't you farming the strike when the tail came in?

Red ink? 🤣

Good question... because all of the 'tail' can bat and have proven themselves to do so on many occasions. Our number 9 has a 1st grade 100 and our number 10 multiple half-centuries. When our number 11 came out to bat there was a long time to bat and a lot of runs needed so I decided that for us to win, he'd need to contribute... unfortunately it wasn't to be.

Haha if you didn't have the same last name I'd say you're a bit harsh but you can get away with that!

Such as shame they don’t use WACA for high profile international matches anymore.

It's first grade so I'd say 120-130. Especially the opening quicks

Is that how bad umpiring has gotten these days? You can see leg stump at impact! Did you ask the bowler if he got commission for the (9th) wicket from selling it?

You did nothing to protect the tail... Pretty selfish batting to be honest. You where giving them full overs to defend after taking a single. You could have took the game into your own hands and try and win it yourself. Why would you not farm the strike?
@cricketmentoring4 жыл бұрын
I played it that way because all of the 'tail' can bat and I had faith in them. Even the number 11 wasn't the worst and with 90 runs to win we he came out, I knew that I couldn't farm the strike that whole time. If we were to win the game, he'd have to stand up. Those were my thoughts mate
@zoomar41724 жыл бұрын
@@cricketmentoring I get that side of the argument, they would definitely have to play a part but saying that, you were the set batsman, Although they can bat they are still down there for reason 9,10,11. You should try and protect them and take as many of the deliveries as you can. Even if you get out playing shots to win the game (think ben stokes in edgebaston test), its irrelevant. Personally I would rather lose the game knowing I did everything I could to win it, than just "trust" your tail. I also think you played right into there hands by allowing them 5 balls at a new batsman tail ender (this happened at least 5 or 6 times from what I can see). As the opposition, them getting you stuck at none strikers is Christmas came early. Im not bashing on you btw, just my point of view.
