Open up Cricut design space. On the very top left hand corner (the three lines, also known as home), open that up. Scroll down to settings, open up and find the ‘canvas style’ and it will be marked ‘New’. Press Classic instead. And then Done. Hope that helps. 😊

Thank you! Your video helped me to solve my big issue with Design Space (it did not worked since the December update). I did this: I deleted the Files that you suggested in your video, Log out DS, Uninstall DS, Download and Install DS, Log in DS, I did the things you suggested in Settings -Canvas Style to Classic-. As a UX professional, I can confidently say that software is one of the most user-hostile I've seen. And it continues to crash and fight me at every turn. Hi. Not sure if you can help but I'm have a problem with images. It's a png image or svg. But when I'm downloading and adding to canvas it shows red mark saying resize when it's a cricut image. What do I do.

Thanks for the great tips. I wish Cricut would have enlightened us. I am super new to Cricut and I see no difference between the new and classic look. I did find, however that when someone said they copied and pasted a graphic from one project to another, I found that doesn't work in classic view. (SUBBED)

Unfortunately I don't have the classic or new option but my design space is pretty much unless for right now. It is running so slow, I literally gave up today in making a simple bday card after 2 hours of it freezing or just taking forever to load whatever options (slice, weld etc.) I used.

As noted in the pinned comment classic is no longer available it is now live or beta. Usually when it runs slow you need to clear cache

Hi Corinne, I have been having so many issues with Design Space recently that I don't use it much. I just tried your tips and hope they work. I bought the foil transfer kit, it will not work. Hopefully this helps! Thank you.

Are you using a computer or a mobile device to use DS? I assume computer since you said these worked. The foil tool should work fine. I would recommend saving your design and then closing and reopening the software. Its been super weird!

Hi I just bought my circuit maker 3 and loaded design space and set everything up.. so went to play around to make a new project and all the stuff across the screen is so light I can’t read any of it. Where you select fonts sizing etc….. how do I fix it so I can see all the top stuff….

When you actually have an item selected those icons will turn darker but it also could be the contrast on your screen itself making them even lighter you may need to adjust the monitor settings

for something like that you would need to call Cricut but it is unlikely you will be able to recover any lost designs. Design space does not have an auto save feature.

Classic canvas is no longer an option and wouldn’t make offset work anyways. Updating JavaScript on your computer tends to get offset working again

im a new user of Cricut and having difficulty inserting glyphs. the font is downloaded and installed and I see the glyphs in the Font Book however when I copy it and go to paste it in the text box, it appears as a rectangle/box? any suggestions as to what im doing wrong?

Usually when this occurs it is because you have the incorrect text selected in design space. You need to make sure the font that you copy the glyph from is the exact same font in design space

It might. Sometimes depending on what the cutting issues are it may be things like the blade or even just the mat

I saw a couple others having this issue. They tried all the same things you did. I would also try and make sure after you uninstall that all cricut files like the native folder and gone. sometimes it can cause issues.

As stated in the pinned comment that option has been taken away. Beta is like the version they are testing to see if it works and live is the current version that is being used

Some people have been having these issues with the new updates. you will need to contact Cricut and let them know of the issue.

you need to call cricut but also try running a qtip or small soft brush under the sensor because you likely have something stuck to it.

When i use Print then cut and use text, it disappears into barely seeable lines, and prints that way as well.. i can't find any fixes for this. I have tried flatten, weld, changing color of the selection, changing color of canvas,.. all of that... nothing works.

If your font is a thin font it’s going to be thin when it’s printed. You can add a small offset to thicken your letters which may make them easier to see when printed

Attach all your letters so they fit onto a 24 inch mat make sure they are no larger than 23.5x 11.5
