A Cricut machine for wedding prep is such a great idea. Personally I have never put letters on balloons but I imagine once the ballon is blown up you could carefully apply vinyl letters to it. There are so many ways to do labels. You could get printable clear sticker paper and do a print then cut project. I have many sticker videos you can check out here kzbin.info/aero/PLPIwi88Dy-Oz4AY7phRD4ZN1Dfnj6SwOM&si=dLXJHm951_qzSht9 You could also just cut out vinyl letters.

Hi, love your videos! I have a print then cut project with several layers of images. I want the Cricut to cut only the outside edge of the entire project. However, it cuts all of the internal elements of the design as well as the outside edge. I have tried flattening the image and attaching the layers to no avail. Could you let me know what I should do? BTW, the image is a football, basketball and soccer ball overlapping a little over the word MOM. Thanks!

I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. I would suggest to create an offset around the entire design (make sure there are no holes in the offset - to remove any holes go to contour). Then select all your layers with your offset and click on flatten. I hope that helps.

I didn't know what print to cut was and your video was very helpful, thank you! I'm curious about the quality on the final product: 1. print then cut uses transfer paper 2. cut uses vinyl iron on. I like the idea of the color with the print then cut and not laying a bunch of vinyl, but I'm cautiously optimistic of the end result. Can you give me your opinion on what is the best option (listed above) for an iron on image on shirts?

I followed this video exactly...only one layer. I didn't see you flatten it and when you used the print and cut it cut just around the outside. I've only had my joy xtra for 3 days and have been searching how to do this without a border and just outside cutting. Can you please help me? It won't let me download a photo of what I'm trying to do, but I put my images in resin so for like coasters, keychains, etc. But they need to be transparent around the outside with no border and I cannot get my joy xtra to do that. I know it has something to do with design space. Thank you so much

Hi, I am new to your channel and I like it. Could you show how to make the cute bee into a sticker, let's say, for the front of a 5x7 greeting card.
@littlecraftnest
@littlecraftnest Жыл бұрын
There are two different things you could do. You can flatten the image to a rectangle in DS and then print /cut it out and fold to make a card or make stickers. I have a few different sticker videos you can follow that I’ll post below. Sticker sheets: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIPCpmmBaJWdjbc Holographic stickers: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4Xdgaukdpmdh9U Easy Peel stickers: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX6ul4ejat16g8k

What type of paper/cardstock did you print the bee on?

Just regular printer paper but you can also use card stock. You can use any material that will go through your printer.

Hi! does the printer needs to be with wireless connection? I am using a usb cord printer and it does not show on my Cricut Design Space.
@littlecraftnest
@littlecraftnest 2 ай бұрын
A USB connection should be fine. If you’re able to print with your printer from your computer, your printer should automatically show up when printing from Design Space. You could try log out and then back in and see if that helps. If it’s still not showing give Cricut support a call. I hope you can figure it out.

Ok i have tons of digital downloads in my laptop computer, could u do a tutorial on cutting these images? I’m finally hauling out my cricut and start learning how to use it. I tried learning design space when i first got the machine and got frustrated and put it away. Wish me good luck lol. Oh is there somewhere on design space to import from my digital files?

I enjoyed your video, but I wonder if you could help me with one more thing. I'm trying to cut out a donut shape that has a hole in the middle, and writing on it. I made a square within a square and subtracted them to create my donut, made the donut white so it wouldn't print, then added my words to the donut and flattened. I could see the background checkerboard in the middle hole, but for some reason it only cut around the outside and didn't cut the hole. What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like you’re doing everything right. I’m not sure why it did not cut the center. Maybe a glitch. Try logging out and back in. I hope you can get it to work.

Hi, so I followed your directions to the T. But for some reason my first design prints out the background as the same color as my design. If I duplicate the design, the backgrounds are white (the way I set/want it.) Do you have any idea on how to fix this? Is this a printer issue? Is it because I'm using my iPad? Please help if possible 🥹❤️
@littlecraftnest
@littlecraftnest Жыл бұрын
Hmm I’ve never experienced this. To me it sounds like a printer issue or maybe the background isn’t totally removed. When you uploaded the image to DS did you remove the background using the magic wand? If you want a white background maybe first remove the background when uploading and then add a white background using the square shape and then flatten the background and image together. It’s really hard to know without seeing your screen but I hope you can figure it out.

Can I print for example in Staples for the color quality and then proceed to come back to cricut to cut around that image? I want to use this feature for bulletin board decorations, but we don't have the best printer quality and wanted to see if I would still be able to have cricut cut out my images. I don't know if anyone has any advice? Thanks!
@littlecraftnest
@littlecraftnest 4 ай бұрын
You need to have the registration marks on your image so the Cricut knows where to cut. You would not be able to do this at staples. Does your local library have a Cricut and a printer? You may be able to try that route.

I have multiple questions and can’t find the answer anywhere! Please help as quickly as possible. I have the transfer paper from Hobby Lobby made by Heat N Bond. It does say to mirror the image which I had always heard isn’t needed with Print to Cut. But you said here if they say it- do it. Correct? What I can’t find though anyplace is what to do from there. The instructions are for iron on- but I use a 15x15 press. I can’t find the temperature to use, press time to use, and if I need to use a teflon sheet on the press and another on top of the transfer since I will be doing it through the paper backing since the image is reversed. Can you help?! I’ve messed up 3 designs now and don’t want to ruin any more shirts. The print to cut image keeps sticking to the sheets and pulling small pieces of the print off the design. Hoping you see this in time and can answer my questions. Desperately needing help that I can’t find anyplace else!

I have not used the material from Hobby Lobby as I am in Canada - so I’m not sure the specific details of the product you are using. Some printable HTV you do need to mirror (usually the ones for light coloured fabric) and others you do not. It all depends on how the image is being applied. When in doubt always use a teflon sheet or parchment paper. Here are a few videos using different types of printable HTV that may help you. This one uses Teckwrap printable HTV kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3e8ZGZ-oteXjK8si=n0WpZwdfwkHGpEOm This one uses Siser DTV kzbin.info/www/bejne/joXYYp-nf6l7n8Usi=U9H-D5iIx17QmByK This one uses an older version of the Teckwrap printable HTV kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4G3o2B8rq2aosUsi=JBxZ5mcorDMyg0d6. I hope you can figure it out. Happy crafting!

Hi! Your Video was very helpful!! But I do have a question. I‘ve seen that sometimes the cricuts „help-lines“ (idk what they‘re called) are fully around your design, and sometimes it‘s like yours in your video! My cricut DOESN‘T do the black help-lines fully around my design and now my cricut can‘t detect the line so I can‘t cut!! I hope you know what I mean and maybe someone can help me🥺
@littlecraftnest
@littlecraftnest Жыл бұрын
Design space recently had a big update to Print then Cut. The black registration marks use to go fully around the whole image, now the registration marks are just in the corners. If your machine is having difficulty detecting the lines and you aren’t using glossy or dark coloured paper you could try to uninstall DS on your computer and then reinstall it. If it’s still not working try call Cricut Support. I hope you can get it working. All the best.

I am trying to cut a tag from kraft colored paper that already has "x" and "o" cut outs in the bottom right hand corner. I've added a name to the tag that I want printed on the tag. It is telling me that it's print then cut, I don't know why. "Operation" is grayed out so I can't click on it and change to basic cut. I've been struggling for two days to make two tags with names on them. It shouldn't be this hard. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
@littlecraftnest
@littlecraftnest 3 ай бұрын
I'm sorry you're having trouble. Operation could be grayed out because what you have selected is attached to something else, so you can't change the operation. Try to detach, unflatten or ungroup and then try to change the operation. I hope that helps. Here is a video on gift tags you may find helpful kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2eaYplqi7ikm6ssi=KDjrFmQwuK_Ch7x3

I used regular copy paper in this video. It could be your mat is too sticky. Use the blue mat and maybe pat your mat against a towel or t-shirt to get it less sticky. Also try peeling your mat off your paper, rather than peeling your paper off your mat. Happy crafting.
