First of all, I want to thank you for making tutorials and sharing your knowledge. You explained everything very well to understand and I appreciate it very much. Omg! I waisted hours and hours yesterday trying to print and cut to make Halloween tags. When I did my test a few days back I didn’t have a problem at all and the tags printed. The problem I was having yesterday was that it was cutting out my text. I’m going to try it again today. I’m definitely will watch your tutorial over and over until I get right. Thank you! ❤️

I’m so glad they are helping. It can all be so overwhelming. Print and cut especially. It’s a shame they removed the “bleed preview” because that used to prevent printing unnessicarily. My rule of thumb is basically anything more than one silhouette layer and I’m flattening to a solid background. That way I get in the habit and I know I’m not going to waste a print. It’s very rare that I actually want multiple print and cut layers to cut. 98% of the time I’m looking for an amazing print with jsut the outline shape cut❤️

I finally got to print the Halloween tags. Just when I was going to give up because I was fed up with it, I tried it one more time and I got it right. I wanted to use the font that has spiderwebs for Halloween. My mistake was that because the fonts looked too thick, I changed them to writing. Even though I attached and flattened the font to my tags it didn’t work. Cricut didn’t like it and it kept cutting my fonts. Once I left them as the original thickness and flattened them, they looked less thick. I print and cut my test Halloween tag and it worked. I watched your video and it help. Thank you again! ❤️ Now I gotta play with the pattern filled. 😆 I just saw your tutorial. I have only an IPad Pro that I work on.

I have a very intricate black and white design. I am trying my best to get just the outline to cut and not all the little pieces after I print it. If P&C is selected I don't get a choice to do any of the things you mention above. If I change it to basic cut I only get contour as an option, no flatten, even before I do an offset. I don't get all the layers your box shows. It is not giving me the option I need to then cut the outline of where I have printed. What am I missing?

Thanks for this video, you explain so well and slowly enough for me to follow your instructions. I do want to ask tho….I have an image of Mario’s Inky character off of google for print then cut but I only want to cut round the outside. However, it keeps cutting out the eyes which I don’t want. I have attached an offset and also flattened it even tho there is only one layer. Can you help guide me how to achieve this please. First time trying this. Amanda

Cricut is so stupid for this. It's SUCH A BASIC OPTION-- and yet they don't incorporate it. The only way you can cut the Outline only is by going through a bunch of unconventional steps. A simple kindergarten student learns to cut outlines first, so why is there not a direct button for 'outline' only?
