Hello Ma'am. I have been following for quite a while. My sister will be sitting for her IGCSE exams in May & June (2024, zone 4). However, she falls ill frequently, and is worried that she would miss her board exams..could you kindly tell us how special consideration works for disadvantaged candidates, including how their marks would be calculated for the components they missed (for the 2024 May/June series)?

you would need to talk to the exams officer and get them to write to the exam board, she would need to sit some of the exams for each subject

Okay ma'am. Will the tests conducted during years 10 and 11 by her school be assessed for the components she might miss? Or, will Cambridge assign her grades based only on the components she will appear for?
