This woman should spend time in prison it’s because of shit like this that real assault victims have so much trouble proving it!

what a disgrace any person would be treated like this. cop or not it's disgusting that some women think it's OK to do this to any man. plus, it puts an immediate set of doubts to any actual rape victim and is the reason it's so hard for rapists to be held accountable. shame on all these lying women.

I’m sorry you had to go through that. And it makes me mad that she took the attention away from the poor little baby girl who was murdered.

I am just shocked that her nursing license was not suspended in the U.S or Canada after being convicted. It is shocking. I cried when the reporter read the last words of Judge Holmes.

How tragic they sullied the reputation of an upstanding RCMP Officer. Mildred Johnson should have been sent to jail.

Interesting video - as usual . Could you do a video on the horrific gang rape and murder of Ee Lee in Washington park ( Milwaukee) ? This case has been completely ignored by the mainstream medias and was only covered by locals medias

That was hard to listen too. I am in shock. This feels so damn unbelievable. Those lying fools really should be prosecuted. Incompetence doesn't even creep into this case. This is criminal. Conduct like that, should make a statement to all other prosecutors who think of trying that. To the fullest extent of the law.

I guess like everything male officers like doctors ecf need to always have another female in with them. I would do that just sit and watch not get Involved with the investigation

In the case of a false rape charge, there are some countries that convict the accuser of a false rape charge and give them a sentence that would have been equal to what the falsely accused would have received. Of course I would not expect a country that lets a viscous murder out after 20 years to do that. And the police that pursued this obvious false complaint should have been fired!!

It's so disgusting the way law enforcement gets tunnel vision, and just plow ahead regardless of evidence, or lack thereof sometimes, and can't or won't admit they are wrong. A good man was dragged through the mud and a good part of his life ruined because of a deranged idiotic old broad ! I would love a follow up on what happened to her, and if she's dead may she never rest in peace ! 👍🇨🇦✌️

Didn't Mildred mention she had a relative working at the RCMP detachment in Red Deer? Am wondering if that was a factor in why the investigation went on longer than needed... family favor?

Hope she is not a nurse anymore as when I worked as a nurse you r Involved with police all the time and you have to be professional at all times, I had a few cops and doctors ask me out on a date and like John I said no thanks but I am married but thanks for asking me I am flattered. That’s it and nothing happened

Good job. The podcast was done masterfully. Sorry John went through that...so happy he was shown innocent. I have a brother who was wrongfully convicted of sexual interference. I sat through every court session and it blew my mind that he was convicted on the testimony presented. It was judge only and the first day in when she had an explosive hissy fit in the courtroom because there was construction noise going on out in the hall, I knew we were in trouble. The whole trial was a shambles. I think if it had gone before a jury it most likely would have turned out different. I know my brother is innocent and any one that knows him knows it but I'm really glad I was there because I heard every word with my own two ears so I know what was said. I was gobsmacked at the verdict..I think the prosecutor was too...I swear she looked at me with apologetic eyes. He determined to pick up his pieces and live a meaningful life in spite of and he has...but it certainly has changed how he operates in the world and that he would never help a person in need again except those he knows extremely well and trust.

Duude i so agree! And to me this goes to show that when shady stuff happens within the RCMP in needs to be investigated from an OUTSIDER...they'll often send RCMP from a different province to look into things...but nah...

I think it's very, very generous to call what the police did in this case "an investigation". My goodness... I wonder if there was some professional jealousy that got out of hand here.

What's shocking is that it happened in 2001-2002, and not in the "enlightened"/woke era of today's INSANE world. I'm very surprised it was in 2001/

jesus christ, if these jokers were prepared to do this to one of their own imagine what they'd be prepared to do to one of us. it makes you wonder why some cover for bad coppers and then others, like these guys, throw their innocent guys under the bus. poor poor man.

Temptation Deception Betrayal Adultry and Rejection are Demons who call themselves friend family lover spouse. A murderer will murder. A rapist will rape. But you never know where you stand with a liar.... A liars words/promises/vows have no value no commitment and liars live by false loyalties. Cheaters heart is cold dark and contain no honour and they do not know Integrity... Adultery is not a Victimless crime! Adultery brings murder suicide death! Deceit Deception Betrayal bring Payback Retribution Retaliation!!! Got it?
