If I'm remembering correctly, in a couple of episodes they've already scrubbed the remains of some drug guy from the floor under the bathroom in Jesse's (?) house, and by the season's end Walt has strangled a strapped guy to death with his own hands, so... the innosence is a little overrated here. It was bright and funny, yeah, like the Sopranos first season as well

But it's when he sees Jesse his former student being in the business, thats when he finds his safe entry, this is when he finally decides. Everytime I watch the pilot for some reason now, I just think of Howard Hamlins corpse now a skeleton just rotting at the bottom of Gus frings meth lab and he’s just a statistic at this point. Wonder if Walt read about howard in the paper after his apparent suicide…random thought but damn his death really indirectly contributed to the rise of Walter white.
