Thanks for posting this Mr Fresco. Liverpool was an still IS a tough place, in fact I think most of the North West of the UK is, casual violence was just a part of everyday life, you had to deal with it or get squashed. Sad, but true. Same as every poverty bitten hole everywhere. Anyway, what I really wanted to say is, lets face it The Beatles are f'kin great. 🙂

Anyone with a working brain that was interested knew this ages ago. John particularly was tough customer.
@matfresco Жыл бұрын
I have to say it all came as a surprise to me. It wasn't till I did the research that I began to realise that John was not much of a rebel really. He cancelled concerts and stopped all his activism when he was threatened with deportation in the States. Paul is the real rebel, he carried on smoking pot on tour despite endless arrests. George was the tough one while Ringo just sailed through with a smile and a wink.
@Rugmunchersauce3 Жыл бұрын
@@matfresco . This is true, but John was a very angry young man in his early days, hé could be pretty bloody nasty. Even though hé was brought up by Mimi in sort of Middleclass poshness, he'd already had it pretty rough and hé certainly wasn't a pushover himself. Hé was my first hero.

Great video. Thank you. Couldn't have been easy. Since that tragic time of the assault at George's estate, I've often wondered if it was an inside job or someone on a security detail that gave up some privileged information. It couldn't have been sheer luck that the attacker climbed in to the house and ended up in the hallway right in front of George's bedroom. I believe he was tipped off by somebody and if I was George, I would've had an entirely new security crew working the next night.
@matfresco Жыл бұрын
It was tragic. George had indeed just upgraded his security. But no system is perfect. As to a conspiracy - I doubt it. There's no evidence for it and no to suspect it is there?

The Get Back sessions were not junked because of Paul and Linda's March 12, 1969 wedding. They had limited time to finish the project because at the end of January 1969, Ringo had to do a film with Peter Sellers "The Magic Christian." if you meant post production, then perhaps...for years the public has been told the Beatles didn't like the way most of the tracks turned out, [at least Lennon hated them, gave the tapes to Phil Spector to screw around with...] there were 56 hours+ of film for the movie...generally a disorganized mess, as they were slowly breaking up...
