So true, death brings out the worst in people. Shows us who they really are and what's important to them. I have seen it in my own family when my parents died. The one who didn't help with the care giving and cleaning up the property after the fact were the first to have their hands out..gimme, gimme. Greedy, selfish effers!

When my moms daddy passed . Nobody cared when he was alive. But when he passed ,they sure as heck traveled thousands of miles to get all his tools and equipment Them left my mom with his body . It's pretty sick! 28 months ago, I lost my 6 year old to cancer . She was sick for 16 months . I had family come see her s few times . But I had 1 sister , who drove 1 hour and threw a temper bc we " my other sister " and I woke up early to head back to the hospital and didnt wait till 12 in the afternoon cuz she was sleeping . So my sister left ... and that.was the last time my stupid sister ever saw her niece.. " my daughter " She never saw her again ..

I used to work in an old age home. You would not believe how many people we had passing away on the toilet. I asked the Ambulance guy once why we keep seeing this. He explained that, when people (especially those who are older) stand up too quickly it puts sudden pressure and strain on the vascular system because you went from not much pressure (laying down) to standing up (more pressure) and by the time they get to the bathroom (for example, getting up quickly in the morning because you need the loo) the heart and vascular system cannot handle it and they die on the toilet. He said that older people or those with a compromised vascular system and/or heart should slowly get up in the morning. Sit up in bed for a few minutes, put your feet off the side of the bed for a few minutes, stand up and just stand still for a few minutes and allow your body to adjust and not put in under strain before you start moving around. Interesting as I did not know this...

Yes that is true however somebody's can fill up with gas and actually explode the body is full of bacteria that while we are alive we are safeguarded from however when we die the bacteria in your gut begins to eat away and itself and produces gasses that build-up in the body and inevitably with the right temperature and amount of moisture the body will blow up and explode otherwise the bacteria in also outside bugs that will come along like maggots will eat The remains and all of the fluids on the inside of the body will leak out so yes in a sense everything will liquefy and the body will so to say melt like ice cream in the Sun

Death scares me so much! Not the idea of passing on but .... the thought of anyone having to clean up after me. The vultures came to get all of her expensive items, before my mom passed she wanted to know what what I wanted. I asked for a small lamp that she bought from the Dollar store, a wooden box for trinkets, and a small phone table. My mom looked at me so oddly, she said none of that is worth anything? I loved those items because they reminded me of her and they still do. Her little lamp is on my nightstand. I miss her dearly. I then realized that I haven't seen the elderly lady that lived in the apartment above her in about a month. Elizabeth Melton I was going to say that as a hospice nurse I’ve seen a lot of people who were it not for us would be totally alone when they died. Lots of folks suffer from mental illness and have over the years become estranged and alienated from their family, some people have addiction issues and alcoholism is very very common, and it really can cause a rift. I’ve got no idea about this woman beyond the fact she was in such dire straits she ended her life, she obviously couldn’t part with her possessions which would’ve been a way to get eviction off her back so there’s some sort of cognitive dysfunction going on. As to the vulturistic tendencies exhibited by people who seem to only care about material possessions we have to remember that her sister had to pay the crew to come in and get the home set for entry, they didn’t have to pay for the total recovery but the funeral expenses may have been theirs along with the estate which included a year of rent and potentially other outstanding bills. They may not have been there to just take her stuff but to manage her estate, and obviously they were bothered by the state of things since they had a company come in and hide the bloodstains, her sister may not be well off and this could’ve been too much to pay on her own. We don’t know and at the end of the day when you die your belongings get dispersed. We don’t do tombs in pyramids anymore soooo at least it didn’t end up on the curb or in a dumpster.
@Amanda-zp7xi
@Amanda-zp7xi 5 жыл бұрын
I too am a hospice nurse for 16 years now and working in nursing you have to have a level of compassion for all people who are dying and deceased. We are not here to judge whether they were good or bad people, we are here to help them pass on with the least amount of suffering. So whether she was nice or not is besides the point. But if you read my comment I did say we don't know all the circumstances surrounding the situation.
@KateCarew
@KateCarew 5 жыл бұрын
*Amanda * I understand that’s why I offered some other options beyond the simplistic. There was obviously some social/familial dispute that led her to be totally isolated and that’s not a judgement, it’s an observation...she was alone and she had no one to lean on, how she got there and what the circumstances were are not discernible and the family probably doesn’t even know what drove her to do it. Suicide is never catalysts by one singular thing. As to her belongings and it being despicable that they took them well, I was merely suggesting why they may have retrieved them out of necessity? If you’ve been with hospice so long you know how messy estate dealings can be and how expensive funerals are and outstanding bills etc need to be handled by the next of kin. The woman narrating said the sister herself is not from Texas and the decedent herself did not own the property so they had to clear out or everything would be disposed of and time was at a premium. If her sister didn’t take her possessions the dump would’ve and THAT is a horrible waste when you add it in with the terribly tragic loss of life. I also said that for all we know her surviving sister who is in charge of managing her estate could be without financial resources and to pay for everything may have been impossible so selling certain things might have been her only option, not to mention family heirlooms that may have been salvaged to keep them in the family. No judgment, not sure what I said that sounded judgmental when it’s a statement of potential theories, since we will never know concrete reasons. It’s sad, that’s all I can say for certain.

A little over 2 years ago my ex step-dad who lived alone in a small apartment in the SoCal desert passed away. We had not seen him in about 20 plus years and always stayed in contact with my mom via phone. He never got over my mom and always said that someday he would take care of her financially. Well we knew he was very much in debt and after an accident on his last job he was never the same. He was always a large man 6'2" ish and last we saw he was probably 350 pounds. We do know that since his accident he could no longer work, he gained anywhere from 100 to 200 pounds and lost everything. He would call a lot more about a year leading up to his death. My mom always felt bad if she ignored him (she has a big heart). He would sometimes cry and always told her that she was his only true love and he missed her, my brother and myself. So it was the middle of summer in the hot desert. My mom got a call from him and he was sounding much more despondent and confused. About 5 weeks went by and she gets a call from his Brother who lives in the same town and would take him shopping or get his meds for him. His brother was very cold and just said I wanted to let you know that Richard is dead. My mom was clearly upset. They didnt know how he died, just that he was found in his bed *hopefully he passed in his sleep without pain* So his brother said that he had taken him to go get some meds at the store a week prior and heard nothing from him. Later his brothers wife said that they hadn't heard from him in 5 weeks! Given his size and the heat in the desert I'm sure his body was in some serious stage of BAD decomposition. I actually studied Criminal Justice with emphasis on Crime Scene Investigations so SPEAKING about that type of thing doesn't bother me, but my mom cannot even watch 5 seconds of Dr. Pimple Popper. It was sad that he died alone and was also later discovered that he had dialed my moms number as his last call *hence the reason that the sister in law said it had been 5 weeks since they saw or heard from him* not sure why his brother lied??? The odor and lack or rent payment prompted his discovery. My mom lives in Texas and I was in the hospital in critical condition after a total gastrectomy so my mom wouldn't go to CA. All she asked them is if they found his wedding ring that is all that Richard promised to give to my mom. They of course said he had nothing and pretty much everything in the apartment was completely destroyed and thrown out. It's so very sad he was 66 and had no children, his parents passed not long before him and his youngest sister died of cancer just a few months prior. I'm not sure why I'm writing this... So what makes this even more strange is that he was taken to the Coroner in LosAngeles where his body remained for 3 freaking months!!! They were so over packed I guess. I remember when all this happened because not only was I in the hospital, but it was also when the most amazing singer artist EVER, Chester Bennington took his own life. An autopsy or toxicology was never done. My mom called and asked why his body hadn't been buried and was told NO ONE HAS CLAIMED HIM OR MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR HIM!!! Freaking SERIOUSLY...I told my mom to go and I I would be okay but she didn't. I couldn't believe that his own brother who lived so close was probably just waiting for this so he wouldn't have to bother with him anymore!!! I then mentioned to my mom that "wasnt Richard in the military for a minute" and he was si she contacted the VA in Los Angeles who claimed him and gave him a military burial and headstone at no cost. That was awesome. Yes the guy wasn't the most perfect, and had been divorced from my mom for about 25 years but he was a human being that deserved respect in matter what. I guess that with all that said...every deceased person has a story and every deceased person should be treated with respect (unless they have hurt a child then they should be....well you get the idea) Richard was a person and the fact that his remaining family is shit he was treated with respect by men who didnt even know him or what his face looked like or his story...they were there to give him a proper burial. When I watch channels such as yours it does make me wonder what was their story, what did they look like...and I know all that cannot be shared but you do give some info and respect the decedent. Thank You for all you do...it definitely takes special people to be able to do what y'all do!

Myra Lawson ugh I don’t know why but my first comment isn’t showing up, lemme explain again, you’re looking at a bullet hole from the head so everything is just going to goop out and blood tends to travel very far by itself, and with all that the bullet itself will shoot out tissues and brain parts super quickly and it’s just gonna go all over, also it’s by how far the gun is, if the gun is at the forehead it’s just gonna splatter everywhere if it’s far, it’s gonna pop out a little bit

This is very true. Im bipolar (yes I've been diagnosed) and during my last extreme episode, I went missing for two weeks, spent 800$ on drugs and alcohol, had a few seizures from overdosing on drugs, threw my phone in a pond, and I was living out of a car with my home girl and her drug dealer. I was on top of the world and nothing was holding me back from doing whatever I wanted. After those two weeks of extreme mania, I finally realized my family was probably worried sick about me so I returned home and I immediately fell into a deep depression. Within two hours of being home, I overdosed on 24,000 milligrams of aspirin and had to be rushed to the hospital to get immediate care. After two days in a medical hospital, I got sent to my 10th mental hospital and had to stay there for 8 days while they tried to get me on some meds that made me "normal". Sorry about the long ass rant but I just wanted to give a little insight on what it's like to live with bipolar lol.

I've seen other crime scene clean up professionals that are incredibly disrespectful to the dead in particular. You guys are the complete opposite. You are amazingly courteous Even with some of the horrifying situations you are put into because of the direct actions of the deceased. Thank you for that! It's hard job and the language and humor are needed to cope, but from all the videos I've seen so far you are still very considerate of the folks who shuffled off this mortal coil.

QueenBee Bargains not uncommon. Especially if she was suffering from a mental illness, which I’m assuming had a part in it. I have bipolar with severe depression, PTSD, and few others. I also am disabled with chronic back pain. My family has always been very close, but when your illness prevents you from participating in some activities, you are eventually excluded. I don’t even get invited to holidays anymore, nor do I get phone calls from relatives even asking how you are doing. My own mother hasn’t even called me in 3 years. People just go on with their lives. If that was the case with her, I’m pretty sure there was no one to check on her. It’s sad, but that’s what happens.

How does feces get in a closed drawer? The only thing I can think of is when the initial body removal happened, someone with feces on their glove used the drawer (that was probably opened) for leverage or balance when they removed the body since the floor was slick. They realized they made an oopsie and closed the drawer so no one would notice. The floor was basically a slip n slide of shit and poison Crisco. It's the only thing I can think of that would make sense.

I can't ever eat turkey or much of any meat anymore. I used to be a CNA. We'd have to take the dead bodies down to the morgue. One time I was preparing a "freshly" dead body to take to the morgue. He had all sorts of yellow fluid of coming out of him and I never really found out where it was coming from. So, I put him in the bag...brought him down to the morgue and I smelled the fermeldahyde. (?) Made me almost vomit....but then I went to lunch and bought a turkey sandwich from the hospital cafeteria. The turkey meat literary smelled and tasted like fermeldahyde......🤢 (In my head, I was asking if the hospital cooked the dead bodies -the ones who we can't ever find out their names and who they are and brought it up for people to eat..... sorry for that for my mind is warped now from being in the healthcare field) That was brutal for me. No way could I ever do a job like this.

Poop and death go hand in hand. It’s very common for people to defecate soon before and as they’re dying, and naturally when they’re dying they’re not terribly concerned about cleanliness, they’re struggling and fighting to stay alive. My guess is the patient was having a medical crisis and was panicked and trying to find medication/a phone/life alert or something, and got fecal matter all over in the process.

Razor's Edge it really does. I work with psychiatric patients currently and even though they are technically well enough to live in regular housing arrangements, there are some that completely lack personal hygiene and what we call “housing skills”. I mean this is way worse, so I can only imagine. I had a jacket that I had to take to be dry cleaned after visiting a client TWICE. The smell of ammonia, feces and rotten food had really gotten into the material without me even touching anything. It tends to linger in the back of your throat too, after you leave the building.

I could not re use my restroom after I learned a mans fluids dropped into my bathroom. I would end up with nightmares and sadness. I hope that wonderful lady takes it better than I ever could, and best wishes to that mans family and I hope they find peace.

Mariah Haines it was a woman who committed suicide by shooting herself in the head . Does no one pay attention to the whole video. No offense but many comments clearly indicate that ppl only partial listen to videos 🤷‍♀️

Louise Reeves he said in the beginning it was a man who passed away “Elvis” style, on the toilet, and wasn’t found for 4-6 weeks. Then there was a part when I’m assuming it was one of the owners of the company, that gave an update on some photos that were posted on Instagram about a girl that committed suicide. So there are two stories in this video.
