Yes it was very odd the way the BBC just cancelled this a few years ago now then of course too?

@@brucedanton3669 Basically the viewership went down quite a bit and the police found social media to be a better way of solving crimes. But I agree it should be kept on, considering we all pay for the BBC this actually seems like something worth paying for

@@Bickle121 Yes of course I see too thank you. I know when the BBC cancelled the series that was on at 9.00pm then on BBC1 I guess the reason indeed was that social media was indeed a better way of solving crimes. However, I know I read at the time that they were keeping the sometimes daily show that was often on at 9.15am or so-I know I used to see it at times so too. Odd really, but I guess that is how they felt at the time so too.

@@brucedanton3669 yeah it is still on in the day, but prime time on a big budget just didn’t make sense as social media was working better. I still think it should be on though, considering we pay for the BBC and this show was an actual public service

When Crime Watch began in the 1980's( I think it was 1984) there was just as much crime then. Many of you want people to believe this just started and its ALL due to "others" who have come there. Not so.

My Grandad worked as a sub Postmaster in the sixties . He always had a wooden cosh , filled with lead directly under the counter .

The Bertie Case sticks with me my Dad was watching the episode and he called mum, me and my siblings in for a chat we watched it together after he said " That poor man acted on instinct to fight and protect u cant hold that against him, but it lead to him dying in a awful way. So please promise me if your ever in this situation, dont fight,don't move play dead if u have too. Stuff can be replaced, saved for and bought again. People cant be" . God bless you Bertie 🙏 Rest in peace ❤

I met Martin Bayfield in person and was a copper in my hometown. He's an ex-rugby player and actually very nice

I believe the man who spoke to Tracy in 94 while being bundled into car must either have died or lives abroad. There is no way he wouldn’t have realised what he saw after hearing about her brutal killing. He would have put the pieces together and came forward with what he saw. The fact he hasn’t means he must be dead or unaware of the repeated appeals for him as isn’t in the UK.

Sadly to this day nobody has been caught for Tracey Mertin’s brutal murder such a barbaric act of violence against an innocent Mum I remain convinced her ex partner knows who those men are he’s partly responsible and I wouldn’t blame Danial and Kelly if they don’t want anything to do with him had he been more honest with Tracy and the police then maybe just maybe she’d still b alive? Joey was a drug addict and owned those people money it’s probably the reason why he and his family had absconded from Burningham? Just so tragic Xx 😢😢

@@becca8225 He’s too much of a cowed to care if he was my Dad and My Mum died like that I would’ve disowned him my heart breaks for Kelly Danial and those family who remain I wouldn’t b at least surprised that they have stopped talking to their father or won’t want anything to do with him I mean apart from him being their Dad he took ( I know he didn’t actually kill Tracey) something so precious from them. Joey claims he didn’t have anything to do with this murder but he does and he must know who those monsters are? I can’t imagine how frightened Tracey was and the pain she must’ve been in. The odd thing is why didn’t the guy who asked her if she was alright try and help her? Xx

@@becca8225 Exactly and then they might’ve been put into witness protection yes it would’ve meant they had to say goodbye to family but least then they might’ve had a better life but no Joey ( excuse my French) didn’t give a flying F**K about Tracey or their children it’s just horrible Xx

It’s an absolute disgrace that Joey Kavanah won’t do they right thing as Becca pointed out he should shop those monsters to the police if not for Tracey for Danial and Kelly they’ve had to grow up without their beautiful Mum for all taxie years they and rest of the family deserve closure and she deserves to b at rest as her daughter said she can’t b until those people are caught. I wonder if Joey’s still alive? If he is he needs to stop been so selfish and tell the police what he knows I wouldn’t b surprised his children have disowned him my heart breaks for them Xx

Total psycho. Imagine killing someone for a thrill. Even if it's drugs or theft, there is a purpose, but just to watch someone die for no reasons is despicable.
