The Clydach murders... what a bizzare, heinous shocking crime and South Wales police at their finest!! I read the Clydach murders by John Morris this summer and was gripped and extremely disturbed. I recommend to everyone.. RIP the Powers x So so tragic :(

There was a similar case to the bogus social workers in the mid 2000's on CW, this time in Oxfordshire. Two women and a man this time, one of the women acted as a nurse. They took a baby boy and photographed him nude. And I recall a series of incidents in 1994 or 1995 involving lone women acting as social workers around the Gloucestershire/Bristol areas where a lone woman acting as a social worker actually tried to take a children away from their mothers. Very disturbing. Even more so that to the best of my knowledge no one was ever convicted of these offences.

@@ajs41 As you say if it is the case. I have tried looking online and cant find anything. With the oxfordshire case they knew quite a lot about the family. These paedophile rings obviously do their homework but it makes you shudder how plausible they seem. Everytime the parents involve describe them as intelligent, well dressed, professional looking. Cool, calm, collected. Very plausible, and therefore very dangerous.

The Farnham case with the fake social workers was not the only case in Britain. I looked around and could only find a Wikipedia entry about "phantom social workers" which basically plays down the allegations. The Farnham case is not even mentioned even though the paediatrician who checked the baby confirmed the assault. I reckon they must have had inside information from, how did they know the woman's name?

Poor Laura. She was murdered by Thomas Brophy. He had asked her out previously at her work at Blockbuster, he was knocked back as she had a boyfriend. That scream sent shivers down my spine 😵‍💫

Thomas Brophy was convicted on killing Laura. Earlier in the evening he'd tried to kiss someone & got slapped in the face for it. His work contract also ended the same day. Sounds as though he lashed out, taking it all out on poor Laura, in the most evil way possible. When I saw a photo of him I immediately thought of the guy that raped the evening cleaner a few episodes back. I actually watched it last night. The elderly lady's description of him "looked like a horror film" actually made me laugh because my son & I often say that exact thing (when it fits a person! 😉). The e-fit resembled him! Did they ever catch that guy? Could Brophy have been him?? That monster had the audacity to say in a taped police interview (that was played during his trial) that he had watched the CW recon & felt frightened by the screams! What a 🤬

this seems to be the first eqisode where the strange structures in the studio are lighted qink. they became qart of the studio design not long after the arrival of jill dando and were bright white to begin with. immediately after her death they were lit grey/blue and now they are qink/red. i've come to the idea that they reqresent aeroqlane wings with the suqqorts for the wing flaqs. as the months go by it can be seen that the colours are being qrojected onto them and are in fact a qhotograqh so very like the bbc news footage of the sky over kosovo when their tv studios were blown uq. coincidence or a tiq off? in the qrogram before her murder the camera accidentally (not really) bliqs to jill and she is looking uqwards and very serious. i notice her birth date 9/11 (1961).

Look into the case and you will find some very strange details. It was allegedly a police officer that did it and was covered up by the force. There are some mad details in it where the first officer on the scene was connected to the victim or something.
