I cannot believe that this guy is getting totally pummeled by this whacko, yet there's 3 people sitting right there, just watching, & doing NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NADA. I'm sorry, but to me, that's completely pathetic. I mean, that's one of the sorriest excuses for a human that I've ever freakin' seen right there. How in the world can people just sit there and watch someone get attacked, & potentially get killed?? No way, could I EVER do that!! Idc if I got in trouble by the boss-man, or whoever, I'd do whatever I had to in order to offer some kind of asistance...Idc WHO is standing there!!!!

Sadly this an early episode from the final 'over dramatised' years of crimewatch. I think it's also quite obvious that Nick's style of presenting stands out a bit as the last remaining part of the golden era of the programme. The music/effects was already on the reconstructions together with the 'location' style chat through 'The killer was walking from this (pointing) direction' really hated this but was a lot cheaper than producing real detailed reconstructions. Be interested to see the June 2006 episode Damien if you have it, as it's been mentioned a few times as the very last episode of the 'original' style of Crimewatch. Maybe the next Mocata Monday? Definitely a significant one to see I think.

In the old days Nick and Sue sat at their desks the whole time, then they brought in the walking around the room and talking into the camera.

Compared to the 1980s and 1990s the reconstructions definitely became much shorter, faster edited, use of dramatic music, generally a flashier style. Some feel it got a bit tacky and seemed to almost overdramatise things.
