One of my favorite episodes!! The disgusting and sadistic unsub, the story is there, and I really like Morgan in this one. Morgan is one of my favorites, but sometimes he just takes the episode for me. Reid has the same effect for me tbh. Love these reactions and how he actually enjoys and analyses the show 😂

I didn't watch Criminal Minds in real time. I used to watch reruns on ION and other channels. I was so confused when I saw this episode initially because I missed the beginning and thought it was a Without A Trace crossover episode. (Eric Close was a series regular on it.) I was like...THEY KILLED MARTIN!!!! 🤣🤦🏾‍♀️

When I initially saw this particular episode, I thought I was watching a CM-Without A Trace crossover episode. I realized it was not a crossover episode, and my guy was still alive on Without A Trace.

Yes! Another reaction I have been waiting for, Tim Curry just annihilated this role. ❤ This episode and the follow-up do such a good job of painting the picture of the unsub's past and making you try to feel sympathy for him. I'm not sure I do, but it certainly made me think a bit more about it. Not trying to spoil anything, but JJ just...OMG, I can't with her 'radio' performance in the follow-up. So powerful...😢❤

I live in South Australia. Sometimes in the summer we have a scheduled black out to minimise power usage like this. For us they say its to avoid bushfires in my area as well as to not overload the power usage in the State. Its the worst!!! Where I live the temperature can get to 45c which is 113f.

I'll forgive you not recognizing Leonard Cohen's voice, a lot of people don't. But I'm sure you'll have heard one of his most popular songs, "Hallelujah", as it's been covered by so many artists. Tim Curry is just phenomenal as the Prince of Darkness. Just an awful, disturbing character.

We had to do rolling power outages in Texas during the 2021 winter storms. It was awful and a lot of people died from having no power and heat.

This reminds me so much of Joseph DeAngelo, though I think he was the Golden State Killer/Original Nightstalker before he was unmasked, which happened after this episode came out. That man also went from Burglary to rape to murder. In 14 years he comitted 120 burglaries, 51 rapes and 13 murders. Worst part, he was a cop during his spree and he used his knowledge of procedure and scheduling to stay ahead of it all. Then he stopped, started a family and lived happily and freely from 1986 (end of his 14 year spree) until his capture in 2018. Guys like this need to be sent to Abu Ghraib or Gitmo. Torture doesn't work for extracting information, but it works great as punishment.

Funny enough, I'm late to this reaction because my area had no power for days~ But that was the result of a severe storm. BUT we did do rolling blackouts back when the huge winter storm hit Texas/the South; ours were short, just about 30 minutes in the morning, but we had them for a few days, just to be safe it wouldn't go completely down while trucks couldn't be sent out.

This unsub was one of the most disturbing of the entire series and probably the one with the highest kill count. The guy was running aroun the entire US for 40 years (or 30 cant recall) killing and raping people and never got caught
