"If you think you can find a better person for the team, then good luck." The only one that ever replaced Hotch, was already on the team. And Prentiss does a damn good job. Not just because she's an excellent profiler, but because, like Hotch, she knows this team.

I love the court scene so much. Not only was that attorney dealing with a former attorney, but also and more importantly, a fantastic profiler. He was not prepared when he challenged Hotch, and what a stupid mistake he made 😂. I love Hotch. He is/was the best character.

Always felt that Hotch/Thomas Gibson never got to smile enough. He should have just been given a hiatus for a season and then brought back. The other instigator should have also been given hiatus. Hotch was the best unit chief. Emily's good but Hotch was the best

Worse than that. At this point, Strauss was concerned more about politicking and climbing the rungs of the FBI. While good advertising for her, she considered the talent of Hotchner and others a potential threat if they ever seemed to be poised to overshadow her.

Hotch was also way too tightly wound, and it was a reflection of Thomas Gibson’s actual personality… they eventually would have had to have an episode where Hotch just snapped, but Tom beat them to it by having his own meltdown.
@TimedRevolver
@TimedRevolver Жыл бұрын
Not entirely fair. While Thomas Gibson was wound tight, from what I've been able to gather, he was dealing with an openly hostile member of the crew who treated others like utter shit. And Thomas decided he'd had entirely too much of that, so he did something about it. And something minor, at that. He could have beat the hell out of the guy, but instead just kicked him in the leg.

This was one of the best shows on TV.. but I started to lose interest when 1) AJ Cook was cut, and 2) Hotch was cut. But besides the great storylines, just watching AJ Cook and Agent Prentiss would be enough for me if they just sat on screen and did crocheting 😊

It's done for TV, and most profiling is not done "on the spot" but rather assembled through weeks and maybe years of analysis depending on the case. The problem with TV shows like criminal minds is it turns profiling into something you can conjure out of the blue like magic when in reality an actual psychological assessment and profile is done through teams and often requires weeks of analysis and significant data points to actually analyze, not just starting at a person and immediately knowing their a degenerate gambling addict lol.
