Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

Plagueis was a fool. He let his guard down, and allowed a poor excuse for a Sith succeed him. Did you every hear the Tragedy of Darth Revan, the Prodigal Knight? I thought not. It's not a story that the franchise-screwers Disney or Jar Jar Abrams would tell you. It's a Star Wars Legend. Darth Revan was a true Lord of the Sith. He was once a Jedi Knight, and he fought against the forces of Mandalore the Ultimate, breaking them at Malachor V. Later, Revan was turned to the Dark Side of the Force. He found and used the Star Forge, another crowning achievement of the Legends that Mickey 'Dumbass' Mouse dismissed. Much like the Turian Councilor dismissing the claim about the Reapers in Mass Effect. However, Revan's power did not last long. The Jedi set a trap for him. He was said to be killed, but in reality, he was saved by a Jedi named Bastila Shan. Saved by the betrayal of his apprentice, Malak, Revan was mind-wiped by the Jedi Council. He served as a soldier under Shan's command. Eventually, Revan was retrained in the Force, and was sent to find clues about the Star Forge. Before he found the last clue necessary to the puzzle, Malak captured Revan. He revealed to Revan his true identity. He would have been killed if not for the timely save from Bastila, who Revan had feelings for. Revan took the opportunity to escape. Bastila, however, was tortured by Malak until she became his apprentice. Revan was able to get to the Forge and redeemed Bastila, claimed that he loved her, to which she felt the same. Revan then defeated Malak, and redeemed himself in the process. But years later, he remembered what had turned him to the Dark Side. So he set out, hoping to stop the threat. He left behind everything. His wife, Bastila, his unborn son, and his friends. He did what he had to do. And while he did not end the threat, he did delay it. He delayed the Sith Emperor, known as Vitiate, later Valkorian, from launching an invasion upon an unsuspecting Galaxy. He is a true legend. A man who can walk the narrow line between the Ashla and Bogan. The Light and the Dark.

Shoutout to my boy Melvin. Died when a weird-looking teddy bear threw a rock at him. I’d also like to honor my buddy Kyle. Kyle was a great soldier. Sadly, he died after missing 76 shots in a row on a droid. He missed so much that the blue R2 unit was able to just roll up to him and electrocute him to death. And last but not least, Leroy. Leroy was like a father to me. I loved him like a son. He began as an ordinary old patrol trooper, and managed to climb up the ranks to become the highest ranked member of the Imperial 501st. Unfortunately, after failing his assigned mission to destroy all sand in the galaxy, he was strangled to death by Vader himself.

I loved Darth Maul's true death because it was poetically perfect and was a fitting end to the amazing character that he was. He died to his worst enemy only to realise that he was in the wrong in which side he chose and finally made peace with Kenobi, putting his soul to peace. That with the fact that he tried the same attack with the Hilt that he killed Qui Gon only to be slashed in half, this shows that Kenobi probably thought about that fight for most of his life, playing it over again and again and again. This also shows Maul's ego in a way, he wanted to kill basically the son of a man with the same technique he used to kill his master. Kenobi slicing through his attack is a poetic end as it's the phantom menace battle but turned around, showing the character development in both of them.

The reason he still alive because The novel The Mandalorian Armor by K.W. Jeter further explained that it was rival bounty hunter Dengar who found Boba Fett half-dead in the desert and nursed him back to health. From that point on, Fett became a regular character in the Legends Expanded Universe, featuring in many bounty hunter-focused books . Boba Fett is still alive not because the mandalorian isn't cannon, you're the one who's wrong and do you understand why he still alive.

The clone wars gives his character more depth and tragedy. His dual with obi-wan in rebels is the culmination of years of meaningless hatred. Maul devotes his entire life to killing Obi-wan. Everything he does revolves around his hatred for him and it all. When he dies he not only doesn’t achieve his revenge, but he realized it had all been meaningless. He realized his life had amounted to nothing, that his true enemy had never been Obi-wan, but it was too late now. He had given his life to the hatred and he had nothing left, his life was nothing, he had devoted himself to the wrong thing. He realizes it all too late and we see him do all of this

Jonathan Shapiro and if to think, they are pretty similar, they both lost pretty much everything, maul lost his brother, mother and all the power he had gotten by palpatine,obi wan was the last thing he had from his past, the will to kill him was the only thing keeping him going. Kenobi lost just as much as maul, lost satine, caused by maul, lost anakin, essentialy his brother, to palpatine and the dark side, and lost the jedi order, his whole life to the clones who also lost their friends. The duel in rebels like you said was meaningless to maul, cause even if he killed kenobi, he wouldn’t get back talzan, or savage oppress or death watch, he would just be alone in his sad life. When he finally died, he realized it just like you said, and even after all he had caused to obi wan, kenobi showed a bit of respect and pity on him, and they finally closed the rivalry they had. And just like maul said,he would avenge us, Luke did that, with the help of anakin

Woah the greyscale after Dookus death would have been a really creative choice had it been in the final cut of the movie. Already that scene has him crossing the lightsabers, literally crossing the light side and the dark together as he's about to make the decision. With Darth Sidious saying "do it" a fade out of all color showcases the superficiality of alignment with the force. In the end, when it comes down to it, a death is a death, whether light or dark, and the truth of that violence overshadows the ability to determine "righteousness" or "evil" as there is no morality in death. This would also allow us to feel Anakin's loss of sensitivity to right and wrong, and the audience would be able to understand his shift towards ideology over pragmatism through a choice like that. I feel like the bright and campy color palette of the movies removes what can be told visually and emotionally about the story. There's a vast array of edits that exist that enhance the story by making the emotional beats hit much harder.

I don't know which is the saddest, Jango's or Maul's death: -Jango Fett, during his years in Kamino, wanted an unaltered clone fot himself, whomst he called his son, Boba. On the battle of Geonosis, Jango was decapitated by Jedi Master Mace Windu, in front of his son, making Boba aterrorized and live with hatred for the Jedis, mostly for Windu, and wanting to avenge his father. -Maul lived with hatred for Kenobi after his loss in the battle for Naboo's freedom. After returning on the Clone Wars for avenge, Maul never managed to kill him (mind, I couldn't watch the Clone Wars in my country). Then, returning on the Galactic Civil war, Maul found Kenobi on Tatooine, finally able to kill him alone. Unfortunately, after trying to kill him the same way he did to Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan was prepared for that attack and quickly slashed Maul. Maul then realized that all along he was being used by his true enemy, Darth Sidious.
