You could have at least de-burred the inside of the holes before clamping a speaker on top of the shards!

I believe I will make one of these for my lovely Nana, but I will use a much cleaner sounding speaker. she despises distortion and most overdrive.

That seems to be the problem with all these micro amps - they sound like a wasp in a matchbox. At least my mini Marshall has a gain control so it can be cleaned up a bit.

The distortion is not because of the speaker, it is because the amp is set to too high gain an doesnt have the power to amplify that much
