Be careful....it can become an obsession that ends with 6 banana boxes and a couple of rolling cases full of yarn you got on sale!! Sadly...I got hooked... back in 1968 as a girl...and now it has bred daily knitting socks (useful and needed) and making crochet Turkey hats (to embarrass your sons with)...unicorns that MUST have at least 10 different colors...for each 10 inch strand of mane and tail...so you must buy the biggest thing of red heart savers...then hide them under the bed rather than be shamed for MORE yarn. OF course you need all those colors because you might be so good at making unicorns...you start a business....LOL! Never mind you only need about a yard of each color... it was a bargain.

I'm new to crocheting, and just finished one, and it took 1 month to finish (i do it about 15 mins a day).. Making the magic circle takes me like a few hours of trial and error in 0.25x speed, and finally after I got the hang of increase and decrease round, It feels so much easier. Thanks a lot for the video, very much appreciate it ❤

Thank you! I LOVE these dolls! The pattern is easy to follow too. I’ve made 3 dolls so far! I made a couple with chunky yarn and they turned out bigger and so cute!! Then I added hair and I’m in love! I’m a little slower, so it takes me several hours to make an entire doll (of course, the hair takes almost as long as the doll!)

I have never touched a crochet needle before and this was the first project I've ever tried in my life and now I can't believe I have this cutest doll that was actually made by my own hands!! The doll isint exactly the same as yours and I admit that I've made some mistakes on the way resulting in a thin waist rather than the cute belly like structure for the doll but it's still cute regardless. I'm planning on gifting this to my friend and this will surely make her happy and so I'm super thankful for your tutorial and will try many more of your videos ! Thank you for making it simple enough for this absolute beginner. 💕

It took me all day to make my first one. Then I switched to a courser yarn, (the cheaper the better it holds it’s shape), and don’t be afraid of getting the stitches nice and tight! You might need a smaller size hook to get them tight enough. You’ll now what will work best for you after you finish just one. You’ll be able to do the second one much nicer in an hour or two! If you have five granddaughters under the age of six, like I do you can get them done in a week! You’ll need another week to do the dress and hair though!

Lorelai Snow I implore you to do more research on the matter. While you could practice it, it would be disrespectful because it originated from people connecting to their home during the transatlantic slave trade. I think it is important to research and understand the practice and I think it is ok to modify certain aspects to match your own craft but not anything fundamental.

@@francescowaite2007 that's like saying people can't use caucasian made inventions because that's appropriation..... Just teaching ourselves history and originations is enough to appreciate and be aware of where it came from. It isn't a "no you can never ever even think to try this" that's bigoted and regressive.

A simpler way to do it is to just make a slip knot, chain two, and put your hook through the first loop of your chain. Next, you yarn over and do one single crochet. Then, just repeat that process and make as many single crochets to your liking through that same loop. This will form a circle. Hope that’s helpful!

Yay!!! This is the first thing i've ever crocheted and all I have left to do is the arms. I think beginning it was the hardest, I had to restart like 12 times but once I got past the initial part of it I was able to do it easily. Thanks.
