Seahawks has a better defense the Texans defense linebackers gassed out and didn't do there job and the Texans coach on 4th and 2 for a first down got scared like he did in New England.
@tarrellharrison46387 жыл бұрын
I honestly think that the defense coordinator for the Seahawks is quite vanilla. The seahawks are a great defense, but they sit in that soft zone all day and they don"t blitz that much to utilize the speed of the line/ linebackers and physicality of the db's. its not hard to pick a zone apart. yes, watson had a great game, but I wouldve loved to see some exotic blitzs and seen how he wouldve reacted to having five to six players in his face every other play.

I'm more impressed by who Deshaun Watson put those numbers up against, He was shredding the Seahawks defense for most of the game with pin-point accuracy, superb anticipation(That throw he made just inches behind Sherman's shoulder is one of the best throws i've ever seen), and generalship(he has truly elevated the play of everyone around him). Not to take anything from Russel Wilson but he did it against a struggling Houston Texans defense lead and coached by Romeo Crennel and Mike Vrabble who both clearly don't have the scheme and pedigree to get the absolute most out of the immense amount of talent they have on that side of the ball, Through talent alone they should be able to produce at the same level as the 85 Bears, And even when healthy with Watt and Mercilus in game they struggled to generate consistent pressure and dominate the LOS. IJS, The Texans need to absolutely make some changes to their coaching staff after this season. Mike Pettine and Dennis Thurman are available, Both run the same scheme that they run in Jacksonville and would be paramount to them taking that next step towards being an elite defense.
@michaelthompson91197 жыл бұрын

Their defense is so trash it’s actually pathetic. Deshaun Watson should have 1-2 more wins at least. He went in there and did pretty well against the legion of whom at their house. He did throw 1-2 dumb interceptions (and one at the end of the game which was a bad pass too but whatever) but he still deserves the win. Their defense couldn’t contain a no-name WR Paul Richardson. Its almost as if their defense doesn’t know what a double team is

There was talk that this was the weakest Quarterback draft class in years, But I found that laughable because imo this was the best QB draft class in years, Deshaun Watson, DeShone Kizer, Davis Webb, and Mitch Trubusky ALL have that elite franchise Quarterback potential but 3 out of the 4 just weren't fortunate enough to be drafted by a team with a good coaching staff that could minimize the learning curve and help them realize that potential. Watson in essence is a beneficiary of a good coaching job by Bill O'Brien and his offensive-staff, If any of the other 3 got drafted by that team that would put up similar numbers as well. I just know that as soon as the Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns get a good coaching staff in there that those guys will perform at an elite level as well.

If your quarterback is playing that well against the league's best defense at the end of the game, when they're tired, you let him win the game for you. Freedom Speaks wilson has no run game and no real superstar receivers. People just dont like to give wilson credit for some reason
@tommydashed42057 жыл бұрын
Freedom Speaks lol yeah the offense had over 150 yards that had nothing to do with Watson (even though Hopkins 75 yard td run will go on Watson's stat line) while the Seahawks had negative yardage outside of Wilson. Also, it doesn't matter the reputation of the defense if they are constantly leaving people wide open like Seattle did. Hopkins and Fuller are more dynamic than any Seattle receiver, I love Baldwin and he's got hands but Hopkins and Fuller are a true 1,2 punch. What Wilson did was easily twice as impressive as what Watson did.
@tommydashed42057 жыл бұрын
JT Nelson Yes their offense had 150+ yards that weren't Watson while Wilson actually got more yards than the Seahawks total net offense. Did you even watch the game? Just watch the completions. Wilson had to throw the ball so accurately to make 90% of his completions while Watson was throwing to wide open receivers. Fuller was wide open on the first TD Hopkins ran a screen for a 75 yard TD The Texans actually had a decent running game Watson threw 3 picks Watson is great and he put that greatness on display but trying to say his performance was even close to Wilson's is ridiculous.
