The first time I fought one of those oni raja enemies my HP was under the 800s (I was very low level) and the guy hit normal for over 1k HP and his axe throwing special for over 2k; it got me nerviously laughing out of the mission while muttering to myself "not ready, im not ready". Now the mission bosses that got me approaching them cautiously are the demons who use Death almost randomly.

I wanted to thank you. Your videos been helping me. Specifically the chapter 2 stuff. Unfortunately I don't trust my skill enough that I had to do it a little different like doing as much missions that I could do before the magic pot trick Unfortunately had to waste the few phoenix down on the on one of the missions but luckily got it back with magic pot. I even got the main magic pot items. No its time to start maxing some stats and materia fusion stuff so thanks

Just an FYI for the magic pot at the very end of the fight and you couldn't use mugger. In the very next fight magic pot will spawn again, so just get into another fight if you get magic pot at the end and couldn't activate it. It'll pop up as the first dmw so you can activate it then

I was stuck on the Indra on 4-2-4 for about an hour trying all the different load out combinations! Eventually worked by just putting on every item that boosts MAG! 😂😂

11:30 I literally CANNOT get past 4-2-4. I don't have any barrier materia and the guy always does his special move twice which kills me instantly.

SAME. he does it twice for me always also but for some reason only did it once for him

​@keanu7318 same. I had him use it 3 times... had to burn 2 Phoenix Downs to get passed. He'd do it at 75%, 50% and 25% health. Ahh well. Got at least one of them from the magic pot, so I'm not down bad.

I’m up to chapter 8 on my hard playthru and yeah barrier was so valuable lol at some points without barrier up I was getting hit for 23k 👀. This game with the changes made hard mode so freakin good. Zack is the GOaT

Can i come back to these missions after doing a couple of chapters? Would getting through a couple chapters of storyline help at all with the leveling system?

Had to use 2 Phoenix towns on 4-2-5. In your fight he only did his power up once, but mine he would do it every 25%. Tried being close, tried being far, using AP only or MP only. Hopefully that didn't come back to haunt me.

@primalliquid If you just spam Fira on the 5 wutai soldiers it will stun lock them to where they cant use any actions really. They only got to make one action each battle because id have use a ether, otherwise they cant even touch you hardly. Best to use that imo instead of Gravity.

I struggled with the part pretty foul though I didn't get a Shinra Beta on my Magic Pot farm...I did get 2 crowns and 3 bangles to boost physical or magic...I chose physical to combo into jump which usually made his next attack miss and hit for massive damage. Though I still even with a break didn't have enough health to survive the special hit, then I remembered the reraise potion! Finished easy after that. The 5 gods were mostly a joke even though they could heal. I just blitzed them.

I've managed to obtain Costly Punch on my cursed ring run which I hope is huge. I'm a few missions away from getting brutal but I think what's holding me back on costly punch is I need to boost my HP since I'm only doing about 8-9k. I'm going to grind a bit more HP and probably SP and hope to break out soon. I've made a few videos hastily and I've referred to your videos where it was relevant as thanks for all the work you've done.

you'd be better off with magic on a cursed ring run, keep your distance and do hit and run tactics especially with dual cast, costly punch is pretty meh until you break hp limit and damage limit

On 4-4-4 death did work for me note though it was mastered (left my game afk today and mastered it)

IM following primals 100% guide too, i do have 10 of those gold pins (magic pot gave me twice lvl 5 en twice 5 gold pins), along with a few equipment stuff(think i got the pot 8-9 times total), ps i didnt get the ShinraBeta yet, i do have the Alpha version:)

My rng luck is weird, got 3 Shinra Beta +, 1 ribbon, 5 elixirs a lot of level 1 stuff and only one gold pin so far, going on 5 hrs and counting

@@peterpostmus5336 I farmed for near 6 hours while I was playing FF14 and got 12 rolling pins and no Shinra Beta but did get 3 Kaiser Knuckles and 2 Crowns which have proved to be quite useful.

It is basically impossible to kill the Vajradhara Indra, it does 2 specials with me every time. Sucks!

yea i would suggest people just level materia for it to get the hp to survive, wasted phoenix downs like i did is the worst choice possible

Yes this was difficult but I changed my loadout and leveled up jump materia and grabbed the free reraise...had to restart the fight a handful of times but wasn't too long and RNG was in my favor with a limit and summon. Just keep the faith.

I was following this guide series right up to mission 4-2-5. I have the same equipment and materia equipped, with barrier up and the Vajrahadra limit break does WAY more damage to me. Nearly 2700. I tried swapping gear and materia out, but I can only get my HP up to 2100. I have no idea how you take such little damage from their limit break. edit - Looking at your level and stats, mine are nearly identical too. I am only level 17, but my stats are: ATK = 50, VIT = 109, MAG = 54. SPR = 27, LCK = 18 I cant believe that one level and a few stat points could reduce his limit break damage from 2700 down to the 1500 or so he is doing to you. What am I missing? Edit 2 - I leveled up to level 18, and my stats now match yours, but I am still getting rocked by his limit break for over 2500 damage. I think I am done with this. Edit 3 - I lied. I had to try again. I leveled up to 20, got my HP over 2300 and thanks to some lucky limit breaks of my own that I saved until he would activate his limit break, I was able to beat him. Saving a limit break to use on him was key. They were usually able to push his LB bar down to 75% and save me from getting 1 shot.

The big vajra guys only have two attacks, one where they backhand you and one where they slam their weapon into the ground. Once you get the dodge timing down you can just nonstop attack and have enough time for a full combo in-between their attacks. I got very used to this when the dmw refused to give me 0 mp cost...

It's dismaying when i watch this and he only gets one LB per fight and I've seen 3, currently stuck on 4-2-5 cause he has done almost back to back LBs T_T

@@Titan0871 you just need to learn which materia you have that will chunk the most damage off him. Make sure you have something to boost your HP, use Wall, and spam the hell out of your multi-hit materia/costly punch. Firaga/Electrocute/assault twister/costly punch/etc. It's all trial and error. I only beat a few of them because I was able to just barely survive and use potions to heal in-between.

i think there are some in various missions, but they are really rare. if you go to mission 1-1-1 and leve the last guard, you can magic pot farm there and hope to get some

4-2-6 is really easy if you have 2 kaiser knuckles i managed to delete them with melee without even bother
