For everyone asking 6-4-1 is supposed to unlock after completing 6-3-6. I went back and watched part 3 of this walkthrough and it unlocked in the video at 46:30. Must be bugged, am looking for when it unlocks then I'll update this comment. Edit: I can confirm you have to advance the story to chapter 5, then beat the 6-2-x missions.

I found a cheese for the hardest fight you mentioned. At the beginning of the fight, tilt the camera to the left or right where you can only see the group of 3 enemies, and stun lock them with Tri-Thundega. For some reason, the forth enemy will remain idle until you move the camera or move Zack! Once you're done with those 3, you can focus the fourth.

trying these things as I play, I found this to work nicely for 4-5-6: tri thundaga (use it) hell blizz + ward aerial drain (use when low then roll back into a thundaga) wizard brace Moon bracer

Same here. 6-4-1 still lock even after finishing 6-3 missions anyways, nintendo switch version. However, i check my psp save and 6-4-1 is available after 6-3 mission. I think they fixed this so you won't be OP so much earlier in this game.

Something I just tried that made the hardest fight way easier was swapping the Shinra Beta for a Blaze Armlet. 30% extra MP so you can stun-lock them with Tri-Thundaga for longer and absorbing fire damage not only nullifies their Firaga attacks, meaning one less thing to dodge, but the incidental healing let me survive multiple other attacks that would have killed me.

For the M4-5 missions. M4-5-4 in my case, I swapped out the moon bracers for the flame armlet (nulls damage frome fire attacks.) cause the fire attacks were 1 shoting me. Worked like a charm 👌

I did 4-5-6 using Status Ward, Hell Blizzaga, Tri-Thundaga and Aerial Drain all mastered, and equipped Moon Bracer + Wizard Bracelet. Was much easier as tri-thun stun lock them, and hell blizz gives death immunity, the only problematic thing was energy, but just dodge around or use aerial drain. Couple of retries, but much easier than trying to land Electrocute, and did not need Shinra Beta+ (couldn't even get lucky with magic pot)

i just completed all the hardest missions without shinra beta + before chapter 3. it's totally possible without it and it's not that difficult. appreciate the tips though. now that i have magical punch, i am unstoppable.

They update the game. You have to be in chapter 5 to unlock 6-4-1

Seeing the HP plus on the Darkness Materia makes me realize that if you did this little grind before the last boss fight from the last video, you could've had more than enough HP to survive his attacks rather than wasting three Phoenix Downs even without Barrier.

@@Primalliquid92 Bro you have by FAR the best strategy walkthru! I followed you perfectly minus three things. 1. I couldn't get the Tonberry stuck on the wall during my Magic Pot farm but in 73 minutes I did manage to get 9 Golden Rolling Pins, 5 Elixers, I think it was Platinum Bangle, Royal Crown and something else but no Shinra Beta Plus. 2. I understand the strength of Electrocute but I sat it aside for after the 4-5 chain of missions. 3. I found an exploit to always have double my HP, MP, and AP. So I keep a Phoenix Down in place from the NPC and using Tri-Thundaga, Status Strike, Status Ward, and Aerial Drain with Royal Crown and Wizard Bracelet allowed me to completely BREEZE 4-5-6. I went back and did it like 8 more times never dying more than twice just to be sure the method was completely effective. I can upload it if you'd like. The only challenge I've had was 4-4-6 and I never played the game until about 3-4 days ago.

safety bit + wizards bracelet equipped makes that hard wutai fight much easier, only real threat becomes energy. shinra beta plus is useless in that fight anyway

I used tri-thundaga with status ward, hell blizz, and darkness for the HP. For accessories I used wizards bracelet and moon ring for auto barrier. The only move I dodge rolled was energy the rest of the time I ran around normally in circles and when they came up close to hit me and missed I hit them with tri-thundaga. I just played it Uber safe and killed them in chapter 2

Make M4-5-6 EASY: Have Materia at 5 stars as he recommends, but also level Aerial Strike and Status Ward. When you go into that final battle equip: 1) Aerial Drain (HP +100%) 2) Electrocute (MP +100%) 3) Hell Blizzaga 4) Status Ward 5) Moon Bracer 6) Wizard Bracelet You will be healed by their fire attacks, immune to death, can Aerial Strike for quick heal, barrier up, Electrocute for mass damage, and can drop Hell Blizzaga to finish off last one (Electrocute misses a lot). After failing on 456 many many times, i tried using Tri-Thundaga as my magic of choice, it's quicker, and more reliable to stun lock. Got it 2nd attempt using Tri-Thunder. Also only DMW I got during battle was magic pot with 5x elixir XD

6-4-1 did not unlock for me. i've followed your walkthrough and completed the exact same mission in the same way but it did not unlock. check on a website. it says complete 6-3-6 items in the wasteland. i already did that. it also says if you complete 6-2-6 underground city it will unlock it that way too. can't get access to 6-2-6 until chapter 5 lol

The 4 wutai level took me forever. I had to wait and get break hp limit and then darkness to 999%. Cactuars were terrible too. The never let me dodge away

In my experience with death missile, I usually have a better time just running around it in circles. Dodge rolling is just too slow and they track you well enough most of the time that’s it’s a guaranteed KO. But by running around the death missile, they almost always miss because the moment they shoot, they stop actively tracking your position and fire at the last spot you were at.

I literally beat m4-5-6 the same way you did lol. Got null physical immediately and spammed Electrocute till they died 😂. On my like 10th try lol

nah if your doing things ASAP 4-5-6 is by far the hardest mission in the game, since later on you get materia fusion and an extra 2 materia slots allowing you to max your stats out pretty easily

You can iJumpFrame death bullets. Just press jump when you see the Death Missile text.

@@mikec5400 Wasn't helping Primal, was helping those who'll read the comment after watching this. I personally did the fight lvl 25 without lucky DMW and without Shinra Beta+ and status immunity. Just spammed Tri-Thunder when they were in a flock, jumped when I saw death missile (3-5 times a battle) and electrocuted once or twice when I saw everyone was stunned from tri-thunder. Took me a couple of tries, but wouldn't exactly say I needed status immunity, loads of VIT and HP or lucky DMW.

Hey Prime! I love your guides, but how on earth do you have access to mission 6-4-1 yet? Is it because this is a "New Game+"? The guides say you must have completed 6-2-6 & 6-3-6, yet we don't have 6-2. So I assume it's a New Game+ thing. Do you know why you have access to 6-4?

it is not NG+ this series was started as an entirely new game (otherwise id have all the broken op stuff from the first playthrough AND missions do NOT carry over into NG+) only thing i can suggest though given how long ago i did this is double check the first 4 videos and complete all available missions

here's the easy way, i equipped status strike all the mag ups and the mag accessories, and used tri thundaga because of its split second stun, spam it until you lose mp, and before you take ether watch out for any incoming attacks, you might have to roll a couple of times before you take your ether, once you do, just spam tri thundaga till mp is depleted. cycle repeat. conflict resolved.

Dont know if u'll read this.. im following ur guide but im playing on hard mode, and some of the fights in 7 star missions are too difficult to do that early, so the farm for darkness materia is kinda hard, i already leveled a little and will try again. Can i progress the story and then come back to the missions later?

i read all comments haha and crisis core your main level doesnt actually matter much, it all comes down to equipment and materia along with the stats on said materia, once you unlock materia fusion you can quite easily get max stats

Apparently the 6-4-X mission category has a RANDOM chance to unlock either after 6-3-6 (Items in the Wasteland) OR 6-2-6 (Underground City) if it doesn’t unlock after one of them, it will unlock after the other. In this video he got lucky and unlocked it after 6-3-6. You can’t get the 6-2-X missions until Chapter 5. I had to get to Chapter 5 first, talk to some NPCs in the Shinra Building Lobby that have the Orange Icon on them on the map, and grind through all of the 6-2-X missions to unlock 6-4-1. I just followed the walkthrough up to chapter 5 and once I unlocked 6-4-1 I went back to the videos where he clears the 6-4-X missions. Hope this helps!

Guys, I got MASSIVE problem apparently. I'm in chapter 10 and haven't done the mission to unlock magic pot, yet. But as it seems, I can not do anymore, because I don't have a normal Gravity materia in my inventory (fused it for Graviga) and after some research there seems to be NO WAY to attain this materia this late in the game?! I mean, wtf?? Any advice or do I have to start a NG+ after finishing my first run, just to complete the DMW?

you can steal gravity from a shit ton of mobs, just check out a bestiary guide for which ones
