While new players could jump right in with this game, I'd recommend playing the FFVII titles in order of release. Crisis Core will spoil the plot twist in the original game if you intend to play that as well.

@@SoulInajar personally "NO". Play the original FF7 because the Remake is not a true remake/remaster, the storyline atleast differ slightly or greatly depending if you played the original or not. But if you wait next year 2023, Evercrisis should have a true retelling of the FF7 game because it tackles the Original FF7, Before Crisis (which was japan exclusive), Crisis Core (like the psp original/reunion) and Dirge of Cerberus.

@@SoulInajar The remake is an odd one. It seems like it was made for people who have played the original (i.e. it's sort of a sequel). If you don't want to play through all of the original, there is a recap in the special features of the Advent Children dvd. It includes gameplay and covers all the key plot-points. It's probably on youtube somewhere.

Oh cool you can now reduce or cancel one shot attacks from minibosses Thet was annoying on psp magic and attack based builds existed by it was bad idea, atlest now looks like you could be aggressive

Remake* there is so much more added gameplay wise it really just calssifies as a remake at this point. Been playing all night and can confirm there's ALOT changed gameplay wise. And ADDED. They added the proficiency mechanic from remake as well as other things

The Final Fantasy Vii remakes series have the best battle system. It’s strategic and has the action at the same time. Not a fan of the Devil may cry hack and slash used in the FF16

FFXVI hasn’t even had a demo yet so it is extremely unfair to judge gameplay based off of the few trailers we’ve seen. The system of FFVIIR was built off the combat system from FFXIII so it’s only safe and fair to assume that XVI will continue to build on that as well

Main thing yall need to know is how bad the dialoge is.they literally changed the voice acting only to still have bad dialoge.also the animations are stiff

Animations being stiff is normal, for a PSP game from 2007. This is a remaster, not a remake. And the voice acting is fine. The problem is the dialogue.
