P.S. forgot to add we don't have silcon keys as our water lever is in the street under metal cover & is only big to fit a hose fr firecrews engines to fight fires. It won't fit bottles or anything like. Outside every house is a lever also in ground uder metal cover can't fit a bottle or anything. Its to turn off & on & off water from street to house in case of emergencies only councils fix it if broken . it's on all the time.

overlooked items : Tire Slime- will fix your flat when all the stations are closed . battery lug wrench . Tire inflater- autogen battery pack (2-3 pounds ) . car no good without tires . Emergency gas -enough to fill your tank once . A pain but I rotate mine no longer than 1 year . Premium gas has less ethanol and is better for small engines too . Solar pow er banks -used when power when out-saved food in frig . Butane cooking stove . How you cook indoors with no power . Spare key outside. Ambulance can not enter your home without a key -must break the door down . Fire blankets- better than fire extinguisher in most cases Ham Radio- Have my Generals license .No cell towers necessary . Satellite Radio . Can call anywhere in the world . Has SOS button that calls up to 3 contacts plus 911 even if you can not talk . Built in GPS so rescuers can locate you even if you can not talk -Use once could save your life . Books on how to do most anything . No power no internet- This is when things get real . So much more That I can not list at this time .

How do you purify water with baking soda?
@ThePrepperAlmanacАй бұрын
While baking soda can be used to address certain water quality issues, it's important to note that it's not a comprehensive solution for purifying water. For severe contamination or specific waterborne diseases, consult with local health authorities or a professional water treatment specialist. Baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate, can help address some water quality issues, particularly related to acidity or pH levels. Here's how it works: 1) pH Adjustment: Baking soda is alkaline, meaning it raises the pH of water. This can be beneficial for water that is too acidic, which can cause corrosion and taste issues. 2) Neutralizing Acids: Baking soda can neutralize acids, such as those from agricultural runoff or industrial pollution, which can make water unsafe to drink. 3) Reducing Heavy Metals: In some cases, baking soda can help reduce the levels of certain heavy metals, like lead and copper, by forming insoluble compounds that can be filtered out. However, it's important to understand the limitations of using baking soda for water purification: *Limited Contaminant Removal: Baking soda cannot remove all types of contaminants, such as bacteria, viruses, or organic pollutants. *Potential for Over-Alkalinization: Adding too much baking soda can make the water overly alkaline, which can also be harmful. *Sodium Content: Baking soda contains sodium, which can be a concern for individuals on a low-sodium diet. For a more effective and comprehensive water purification solution, consider: *Water Filtration: Using a water filter can remove a variety of contaminants, including bacteria, viruses, and heavy metals. *Distillation: Distillation involves boiling water and collecting the condensed vapor, which can effectively remove many impurities. *Professional Water Treatment: If you have severe water quality issues or concerns about specific contaminants, consult with a professional water treatment company. Remember: The best method for purifying water depends on the specific contaminants present in your water source. Always prioritize your health and safety by consulting with experts or following recommended guidelines.

I have a lot of fun doing this. I learn a lot through the process too! So it's a hobby and helps me with my personal prepping with the research I do. I also learn a lot from the community questions & with the community discussions new ideas for new video topics pop us. Also, I now have had my channel live for about 9 months, so I have a little rhythm to my process. For instance, this was my very first video. It's admittedly pretty bad, but I've learned a lot since then. It's titled "The Basics of Prepping: What You Need to Know to Be Prepared for Anything" kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6HXpKWdiNiDiJI I'm not sure about the timing of when you get notified, but there is a bell icon on the channel. Make sure the bell icon is enabled. That notifies you when a new video is up-loaded. Thanks a lot for your support of the channel. It's appreciated.

@@Julie-g3u Oh as for being in the military, I personally was not, but 2 of my grandfathers both served in WWII. (One on my my mom's side and a step grandfather). Which allowed me to be under the USAA umbrella. Which is great for insurance. I have nothing but respect for what the military has done for us and I proudly fly my American flag in honor of our freedoms in front of my house every day (including a light that shines on it at night). I personally don't belong in a specific prepper community, but I've been considering starting one in my area, so I have people to collaborate with. My winters are pretty mild where I live in the United States....and Cheers :)

He & his mate took 2 planes they flew under my Grandfather's farm he had the first wooden power poles on their farm 🚜 they turned upside down nearly gave my Gfather a heartattack.
