I agree with you about the injuries... we are in serious difficulty on that factor... we lack more than necessary to be able to perform at our best... another factor that is giving us problems is that linked to finishing... we are not very cynical on the last third of the pitch... and we become too predictable at times... we have to find a solution to be more unpredictable... the injury factor is becoming serious... there are already 9/10 absences due to injury... (Rodri, KDB, Grealish, Doku, Savinho, Bobb, Akanji, Gvardiol, Walker, O'Reilly)... We still have Ederson, Ortega, Stones, Dias, Aké, Rico, Gundogan, Kovacic, Foden, Bernardo, McAtee, Nunes, Haaland available... we are very counted on... we are forced to rely on the academy too, at least until the break national teams... hoping that the others can return as soon as possible... the next three matches before the international break: Bournemouth (A), Sporting Lisbon (A), Brighton (A).

Yesterday... we started the match on the right foot... we were on Spurs' half of the pitch... even though they easily caught us well on the counterattack... and scored us twice... before the At the half hour mark we were 2-0 down... and we hadn't yet had a shot on target... fortunately we went to rest in the changing rooms at 2-1... only down by one goal... the second half we were better... we had more clear scoring opportunities... overall... having fielded an experimental team for the cups, and with what we had at our disposal... the performance wasn't the worst... but I think we conceded too much... and the defense should be stronger to play the offside trap on the opposing attacks... we did something... but unfortunately it wasn't enough to get through the round. Let's stay focused for the next games... respect to Spurs... good luck in progressing to the next stage of the tournament.

Doesn’t help that despite all their injuries, city would STILL get the most players called up from the premier League during the international break. Fcking Portugal will run Dias and Bernado silva to the ground again. Foden Rico Lewis (when did he all of a sudden become an England regular??), stones despite his fitness issues over the years would still play 180 mins for England and God forbid walkers is fit he’ll be called up for England again, same for Grealish. Doku if he’s fit Belgium would run to the ground again, same for Ake almost all the entire squad if fit would be playing 180 mins for their national team, while Timber for Arsenal would pick up a “knock” and won’t be selected by the Dutch again so Ake plays 180 mins and get injured again

Kova was taking the ball the length of the field at times past 3-5 players. We played with our back line 5 yards into attacking half. Slight adjustments and slowly bring the veterans back we could come back better than before but the defense was awful and needs to tighten up

@harrygonn934 "entitled clown", I looked at the squad and the level of quality has significantly decreased and thus some players were needed to come in, it didn't have to be an expensive player but shrewd signings such as Baena, Locatelli, Goncalves that are cheap and available but Txiki didn't attack the opportunity. Txiki knows very well that Walker, KDB, Ake, Doku are injury prone, thus they will crumble physically and especially with age, thus making these demands applicable. I love this club and I want the best for everyone but I'll call out the board when they make fatal mistakes (especially when they become complacent). It's calling having STANDARDS since they set the bar and we judge them on it since i go to games and i spend my £ supporting the team home and away. If you want to happy clap blindly then you may do BUT don't come back complaining when the evidence was there a while ago

I also think we’re underrating our academy and so is pep, I know Mcatee didn’t have a great game but he’s showing signs of a great player, just like palmer did. We just need to give those players time and then it’ll click. I don’t really rate locatelli, baena much higher than our academy players tbh so I think trusting our academy is the way to go. We also have Echeverri coming in January who’s one of the best u18s in the world imo

Hearing today haaland is to have test tommorow on injury he picked up today...... He got splinters on his arse and is out for next 9 months as man city medical department has no medical staff left to help due to them being over worked, we may need to invest the january war chest in to a new treatment room...
