considering getting the idahos cause i live in hawaii and apparently theyre better in the heat, but these look good too

Yeah that’s a good idea. These do get hot in the summer time here, but my feet run hot and I use these through the fall into November!

Seems strage that they fall apart after one year. You said you wear them all year, but for someone who hunts a week a year they'll last 3-4 years. So these boots only last 3-4 weeks?

Gotta treat the leather with oil and maybe wax to keep it thick an supple, avoiding cracks. For the front tow clip on the second sole, take them to a cobbler, get them to stick them together with some professional adhesive - they have the good stuff - and then he, or you, sew the front to the boot with thick waxed leather sewing thread. Then treat the thread with some semi liquid silicone like Nikwax Aqueous or Sno-seal to penetrate the seams and prevent any chance of water getting in.

I treat them, but once they’re cracked and have holes no treatment will make it waterproof again.

Can you compare sizing to Danner? How do you compare the sizing?
@TylerTurco10 ай бұрын
I haven’t had a pair of danners in a long time but if I remember right I went a half size up when I went to crispis

Any other lightweight crispis you’ve used for all season hunts?

Have you ever tried the Schnee Beartooth? I’ve been trying to decided those and the Crispi Nevadas.

I haven’t tried the schnees!

I think they are really poorly made to mess them up in a year
