Yes ,iam a major in biotechnology and I can safely say that genes are the key to life. But it's very unethical to modify the human body unless it's a requirement like treatment for diseases ,so I shifted to plant biotechnology. There are still many things we still don't understand about genes, and it's a very hectic process to modify genes, we can modify, but the accuracy is not as expected always especially on some particular genes.
