Crispy Fried Cassava
Today, let’s just play with simple the recipe, here is my recook from Chef Muhammad at CookPad. With only 3 main ingredients (Cassava, Garlic and Salt), the results are Great.
One thing to note is to make sure using the right type of cassava. In the original recipe, the cassava is soaked with normal water not the cold ice water, but the result remains perfectly cracked. It’s all thanks to the right quality and type of the cassava, then with just a simple step, without ice water and without baking soda, the result remains great at the end. Ingredients
2 kg of Fresh Cassava.
4 to 6 cloves of Garlic.
45 grams or about 3 tablespoons Coarse or Fine Salt.
1500 ml Room Temperature Cold Water (Ice Water is better).
Note
For the cassava that is split apart when soaked, besides being tied with bamboo knot, we can also tie it with a rope made from pandan leaves, of course it will add a nice Pandan leaf aroma.
