I have done green beans like this for a while now. I haven't used garlic before in it, so, I'll have to try adding that. I saw another recipe video where they grated the garli,, so I tried it! You get a LOT more garlic taste that way!

I would do it differently. I would parboil the beans, very briefly, saute the shallot and garlic, and then add the beans.

Looks tasty and easy. I'm betting the same thing could be done with asparagus...? Maybe the asparagus has to be steamed a little bit first... French lesson: do not pronounce the "h" in "haricot" and do not pronounce the final consonants in either word. So you get something that sounds like "airy coe vair..."
