Thank you so much for taking the time to make these vids. If only everyone would share more knowledge, what a happier place the world would be. I am inspired to have another go at dying some shirts, as my earlier attempts were never that good and this seems almost fool-proof! One question please..it didn't seem as though you were using much dye powder - I know the shirts are not super colour saturated could you give me an idea of what amount of colour you may use for a shirt - 10 teaspoons full? Cheers
@CrispyGuy9 жыл бұрын
Hey Tim, welcome back to the fold! Oh puns. You're probably not too far off in your guess. That's a 2ml spoon I'm using, and while it's hard to be precise with all the little taps, I'd gander around 2-5 spoonfuls per side, so 2-5 tsp in total. Doesn't sound like much, but it's actually quite a bit more than you'd use with traditional liquid dying. The only thing I'd really advise against is large clumps of powder (anything approaching a pencil eraser in size), as it won't spread, and just goes to waste. Other than that, you'd be hard pressed to go wrong here. So enjoy yourself, set aside any expectations of the result, and see what the universe has to say.
