Being able to decorate your yard for the first time is the best feeling! Also, I have to agree with the others who mentioned not putting up fake web outside. They are potentially dangerous for many animals including bats, birds, and bees which are already facing a lot of issues. I learned this from a bat rescue and rehabilitation organization.

Congrats on getting your first house together and making it into a home. A trick I learned about those plastic stakes, they like to break. So, I will get one of my longer screw drivers, jam that into the ground first to help make a hole then make it deep enough (I do know where all the wires are underground). Then I'll put the plastic stakes in, you can do the same with the flamingo "legs" as well. Well done!

Hi Chris! Love your Halloween decor. You need to get you some flickering flame light bulbs for the garage and front door lanterns..they look so nice at night. I've been using the flaming flickering bulbs for a few years now and love them.🎃🎃

Also great idea about the pumpkin lights around your tree..I have a sidewalk leading up to my front door and it would be way too expensive to purchase several sets of pumpkin lights so I’ll put them around my tree. If you want an inexpensive way to increase the flamingo flock next year, purchase the pink flamingo at the Dollar Tree next summer and spray paint them black and use white or glow in the dark paint to add a skeleton. Cute look for very little money. The important thing is to have fun. I think it’s all adorable.

Looks great Cris/Jay , not sure if your H.O.A. would allow it, but I cut the backs on plastic hollow pumpkins to put around outdoor lights such as the garage lights and our pole light on our front lawn.

Love this vlog! I’m decorating more this year bc my daughter loves spooky season. We’ve worked together, and I’m proud of her. She did the spooky graveyard w lights, I did the light up pumpkins, then we both did a big spider web. We did the yarn like web. We also got the scary kitty meowing from Target .

On the spiderweb it depends on if it is the cotton pr if it's synthetic. The bag it came in should say. The only thing I wouldn't use are the spiders if you're worried about animals. They may think they are food.

We put up our “outside” spider webs until 2-3 days before Halloween because they don’t hold up amongst the elements….and they can be a pain to redo 😅 Our “Indoor” spider webs have been up since September 1st tho 😊

Go to the dollar tree , they have solar pathway lights a pumpkin, ghost and skull Hurry bc they sell out fast I have them along my balcony in a planter and at my BF’s out on Long Island along his lawn

Theft of decorations is a problem where I live. Heck, theft of plants in planters or EVEN IN THE GROUND, is a problem where I live. So no outside decorations for me. But your yard is looking adorable. This is just the beginning for you two. Build your collection up slowly. In a few years it will be unbelievable and you'll be happy that you have this footage to look back upon.
