Everyone says how amazing a dad he was, ultimately he killed them all so he must have had many fooled too. And from Chris himself, says he prefers a controlling woman. Always was more drawn to them. But I agree about them giving shit advice about Chris I read the msg threads. But you have to remember the way they knew Chris they just did not think the worst of him. They thought maybe his family is in his head turning him away from her, and they did. Chris msgd them saying I see her now fir who she really is etc. At that time he was real cold to her she just had a massive fight with his mom. Everyone thought he's sour about that. It's one of those situations nobody could have known what's in his head, he barely spoke or showed emotion.

They may have been hoping for the best or trying to bring her comfort in a hard time as no one knew what was really going on at that point. This is so heartbreaking listening to the interview knowing what the final outcome was. She had really good friends who loved her and thank God for them!! They cared about her and they were on top of this the moment she was missing and they ended up foiling Chris's plan. Who knows what was in his crazy head and what more stuff he was going to try to stage in the house, but her friend Nicole was there and had the police come check it out and they were able to destroy his final plans. He is right where he needs to be and hopefully one day his parents will apologize to Shannan's parents for their rudeness towards her. The thing is they will have to live with knowing how they treated her for the rest of their lives, and that is good punishment for them. Thank you for posting this in it's entirety. Very well done.

That’s not quite what she was talking about. Any at-home behavior issues with the kids isn’t what Christina was talking about. It wasn’t just giving them more discipline, in a normal way. CW was acting unusually short with them, he was snapping at them, had no patience with them and that’s not your normal situation, especially during a vacation. CW had gone from extremely patient to easily irritated. After not seeing them for weeks, getting a GF and deciding he didn’t want his family anymore - obviously his manner was because he wanted nothing more to do with them. - Aside from that yeah the kids needed more discipline but they weren’t given enough hands-on attention from Shannan, didn’t have enough activities to occupy their minds at home, and were away at preschool most of the time.

NK had no social media - never no MySpace, Facebook, Instagram. Chris was able to open up to her & feel relaxed, rare as he usually struggled to communicate. Listen to NK’s interview, he appears to have communicated quite well his feelings behind the marriage dissatisfaction. She was also a car nut like CHRIS. Shannan makes Chris sell his mustang, NK wants to go to the car museum. He was indeed besotted by her - she was well above his usual league, he has only just gotten fit & lost his daggy image. She was educated, a good real job, financially secure & lived humbly within her means. He was obsessed with her.

One of the things I’d like point out or remind....So many people saying it’s strange that NA became concerned too early and that makes no sense.....There are more than one text/ statement in discovery where Shanann told friends she either didn’t want him to come back with or vice versa..... There was also at least one statement Shanann made about not feeling safe with him after he said he didn’t want the baby. There were multiple group texts and individuals about CW strange behavior. But once she said ‘I don’t feel safe...’ I can guarantee her friends were on high alert enough to show up at her home and yes, to call police within hours of Shanann non response. I also have a deep belief in the power of intuition and that we probably all have someone we are friends or related that share that sense of connectivity.

I want to make sure I’m not seeing things. But, in the body can video when CW 1st let’s them in the house on the kitchen island there is no green vase with orangish flowers but when come back from Nate’s as they have her purse on the counter the vase is there with flowers. Her pants have never been found that she came home in Bc they are in the pipes in the basement. Bc they were heavily soiled. Hence the reason CW asked has anyone checked the pipes to see if they’ve busted?! He was making sure it hadn’t been found. Bc then the helpers dna is on it. The poured it with a chemical and were gunna set the house a fire. This needs to be checked out. Anyone who would like to see this just go to the body cam when CW first opens door and they walk in and u see her usual decor isn’t there. But appears after watching Nates video. This is chilling. There was no (sex) between them. This makes way more sense Bc these are all unanswered questions and can be proven by simply looking. There is a video on Tarot cards for the soul. I’m not and never have been into that. But, it’s very chilling and telling.

JulsJusSayin- Its a possibility about her pants. The only thing is my dad is a self-employed Plumber and growing up we all answered the phone and took messages from his clients. All winter, especially January and February, his clients called about their water pipes freezing and busting. The detectives (during prison interview) were talking about how cold it was and Baumover mentioned the house, that’s when Chris asked if his pipes were busted.

To me it's very normal. I and most of my friends are the same way. I have introvert friends who often confide in me as well. I find that keeping things inside is very unhealthy and always encourage people to talk about their problems to at least one person. With respect to Shanann, we only know what she did during a horrible period in her life where her mother in law put her kid's life in danger and her husband did a 180 with no apparent reason, all while she was pregnant and full of raging hormones. I don't think she constantly talked about everything to everyone. Only her close friends knew about what happened and, even they, when asked about other issues of hers, such as finances and arguments with her husband, didn't know any details. Also, according to Nicole, Shanann was her hero and had been there for her and helped her during a bad time in her life, which means that this type of confiding went both ways and was hence not only not tiring but normal and welcome within their group.

Seems normal to me; everyone has different personalities. I can also see Shanann overcompensating for Chris' low affect. I will also say that her go-go-go attitude might also be because of her illness. (I also have a chronic illness.) When you have periods when you cant do things because you're feeling so sick, you tend to develop that go-get-em, raring-to-go attitude because you want to experience all you've had to miss. Regardless, nothing wrong with that; I think it's great. And venting to friends is normal as long as it goes both ways. Shanann's venting reeks of being gaslit and needing to figure out that abuse.

It drives me crazy whenever people who knew Shannan (including but not limited to Chris and her father) describe her as being “Italian” as though this was responsible for her aggressively controlling behavior. Not only is that a stupid stereotype, Italian heritage doesn’t translate to domineering, insensitivity! It’s certainly not a synonym for being a battle axe. My family is Italian. I also grew up in Italy. There wasn’t anything about Shannan that strikes me as her having been culturally Italian. Nothing whatsoever. She doesn’t look Italian and she couldn’t speak Italian, nor did she use Italian expressions. She didn’t have an Italian or even Mediterranean diet. Italians also don’t “thrive” nor would they. They enjoy good food and prepare amazing, healthy meals. It’s not reduced to making Christmas cookies or preparing a lasagna on occasion. There’s nothing Italian about her personality or her personal style. Her name isn’t Italian. She never talked about going to church nor was she raising her children as Roman Catholics. There was no traditional Catholic imagery in her home. Maybe her mom’s family cooked Italian food sometimes but that’s not akin to being Italian! By the time Shannan was an adult, anything that could be construed as having been marginally Italian about her had been totally obscured, if it wasever in place to begin with! She’s an American who grew up in North Carolina. Period. She didn’t have Italian American friends nor was she based in a culturally Italian American community. She’s never been to Italy and I don’t know if her mom ever visited Italy either. It’s a ridiculous to assume that making pasta sometimes makes someone Italian! Or that being impatient or domineering is reflective of ethnicity. In fact, just because someone is bossy is a very lame excuse for being labeled an Italian. It is actually offensive to me and I’m sure to many other Italians or Italian Americans. Anyone who attempts ito excuse Shannan’s treatment of her family as being the result of her ethnic background is making a really big stretch. Insensitive , dismissive, volatility isn’t what being Italian is about. It’s very frustrating to hear Shannan and other people reduce her obsessive compulsive behavioral traits to being a residual effect of an Italian nature! You’d think most people would know better than that these days. If someone acts a certain way because they’re African American, Chinese or Mexican, you don’t write it off as being indigenous to their genetic makeup. “Yeah, Shannan is really shy. She’s Asian. She can’t help it.” Or “Shannan steals from her customers. She just can’t control herself……she’s Black” …..can’t people recognize exactly how prejudice this sounds? Cultural stereotypes are not considered to be positive, no matter what culture we are focusing on. “Shannan was Italian” Christopher,, her dad and her brother, and as heard in the interview here , Cristina Meecham knowingly asserted. It was as if that was supposed to explain why she could act like a total bitch.. Are we obliged to conclude that it was okay that she could say or do things that anyone else would be called out for? Are we not allowed to take umbrage with inexcusable behavior because Shannan was Italian?. Could being Italian reasonably absolve her of accountability for her nefarious actions because she couldn’t help herself? That’s just the way she was born? Because that’s a big, stinking load of bull. Being Italian isn’t akin to having a personality disorder! Being proud of yourself for being intolerant and irritable because you are Italian is simply a pathetic excuse for inexcusably reactionary behavior. Lacking in impulse control isn’t derived from your ancestry. That’s not only faulty logic, it is propagating inaccurate myths! However, the even greater irony is that I honestly don’t think that she was more than a smidgen of Italian anyway. As I have exhaustively related, she was nothing like any Italians that I’ve ever known. So it was like she was literally assigning another fake trait to her person, because in reality there wasn’t anything remotely Italian about her Having a pushy personality doesn’t come from being ethnically Italian, and I resent the implication that it does! No self respecting Italian mother would have treated her children like Shannan did. One thing that most Italian mothers have in common is that they hate for their children to not eat and they’re preoccupied with feeding them. When a typically Italian mother’s child expresses that they’re hungry, the first order of business is making sure that the child is amply fed “Mangia! Eat! Eat until you are full and definitely have more than one slice of pepperoni”!

SW complained too much, I find it exhausting. I had a similar experience, ex husband cheated on me while pregnant with first child. I confided in no one, except my therapist. You do not air your laundry out, then pretend that everything is good. Shanann and those are girls were so full of life and happy joyful all excited about another child to come in. I feel Shanann knew the moments before the tragedy she knew it was over and him getting on top of her is a huge confusing part it. I believe he was hurting her on purpose and planned it not out of rage. Because him quiet and sneaky about everything in that time. Wouldn't they question him being gone from them a lot when he was supposed to be visiting? I agree. It's a dangerous time for a woman who is being cheated on. When I found out my bf had cheated on me; aside from feeling sad about it, I was mainly blown away by the secrecy of it. It scared me, because this reality is happening with the person you are closest to; but you had no idea that they were living a double reality. It was very creepy to me. Looking back on it; it was danger I was feeling. Like, if the cheater can live a double life without you having any suspicion; then they could just as easily be planning to kill you; and you would never know... ... After that incident, I was so intuitive, that any attempts that he made after that incident, I would catch him without being conciously aware of suspicious thoughts or feelings....their discovery would literally fall into my lap, before he ever got past the first cheating step. It's actually comical. I eventually ended the relationship. It was a relationship that should have never been started in the first place.

This police officer is such a goofball. If the video surveillance showed nobody ever pull up to the house other than Nikole dropping Shannan off at 2am and never shows her leaving the house but she and the kids are not at the house then obviously it was her husband loading them in his truck at 5am. She would not have snuck out the back yard with her kids on foot undetected nor someone magically appear from behind the house and come in kidnap her and the kids without pulling up in the front in a vehicle. Just that neighbor's surveillance camera footage alone should have proven the only explanation is Chris loaded everyone in his truck and left. There was no other possible explanation.

I keep hearing the words "Shanann was the boss." I'm having trouble imagining someone as taciturn, and passive as CW planning and carrying out a murder without someone telling him what to do. But who? Unless theres someone of whom we are not aware the motivational figure was pretty clearly NK and she had told him, "let her go." Meaning Shanann.
