For so many students who come from low-income families in America, college isn’t an option. But Cristo Rey schools are making a difference.
Since 2005, Cristo Rey Sacramento and its sponsors have helped hundreds of underprivileged students get into college, opening doors to better careers-and lives. And Dignity Health is proud to be Cristo Rey’s biggest partner in this mission.
Karla Davilo is just one of those students to graduate from Cristo Rey. Originally from Mexico, she is the eldest of six siblings and has overcome tremendous odds on her journey. Her volunteer work at Dignity Health Mercy General, while attending Cristo Rey, has inspired her to major in physical therapy at Sacramento State University.
