Sorry about the audio issues in this video, team! You might notice a lot of "hiss" during the clips from the show, due to a compression issue. I'll get it fixed for next time.

Fun fact: During the scene where they are trying to dump Ralph's body off the cliff, Michael Imperioli (Christopher) confirmed that him and James Gandolfini (Tony) drank an entire bottle of Wild Turkey before the scene, and they were so drunk they had to have their ankles chained to a tree so they wouldn't fall off.

Yes, Tony did not kill Ralph over the horse. It was over Tracee but because Tony loves meadow so much he saw in Tracee that innocence and probably guilt for not helping her. In this show Meadow is the only one Tony truly loves more than anything.

45:20 No. It's just that, as Johnny pointed out, they "share" Councilman Zellman. He's arguing that any schemes that use Zellman entitles Johnny's family to share the profits. However, Tony's argument is that the two families share Zellman only for the "esplanade project" that is mentioned throughout the season.

“Were you there when Jesus Christ had his moment of doubt and pain?” This is a line from Sympathy for the Devil by the Rolling Stones, this episode gets lots of its themes from that song, Ralph of course being the devil that we sympathise with, father Intintola is literally asking him if he’s the devil in that scene.

I've worked as an extra on some tv shows. One day, myself and another guy had to carry a (fake) dead young deer tied to a stick by it's feet, hanging upside down, like is was food to be roasted on a fire for a feast. The props guy told me the deer was over 30 years old and had been in more tv shows and movies than any actor working on the show we were on. I wasn't too creeped out by it, I was actually glad having something light to carry for a scene that was shot almost 30 times. I'll tell you who was freaked out by my upside down dead deer, all the other live animals on the set, one look at that thing and they ran off. Similarly on the same show, we had dead fake horses all over the place after any battle scenes. The live horses were always really freaked out by them, they never got used to it as far as I could tell.

The theme of the ralph episode is "sympathy for the devil." The writers even used lines from the rolling stones song. "Allow me to introduce myself." Then, with the priest, "Were you there when Jesus christ had his moment of doubt and pain?" Its basically from the song, sympathy for the devil.

The "Strong silent type" That ep 10 is named after and the type of guy Tony is constantly telling everyone he admires is actually Furio, which is ironic since his wife is in love with him and he belittles Furio throughout these seasons. Svetlana meets that criteria as well

“We’re you there when Jesus Christ had his moment of doubt & pain?” .... from Sympathy for the Devil (Rolling Stones). Father Phil knows Ralphie is the Devil is what that insinuates. Pic of Tracee at the very end was to show she was ultimately why Tony killed Ralphie. It wasn’t really the horse. Btw... Chris left the Bing before Tony because he was scared Tony will kill him for knowing how Ralph died.
@normie2716
@normie2716 5 ай бұрын
It's not Father Phil insinuating that Ralph is the Devil. There are several instances of _Sympathy for the Devil_ lyrics in the episode. Ralph says to his son's doctor "Please allow me to introduce myself", "Pleased to meet you" to Father Phil, etc. It's just the writers incorporating the lyrics into the episode as a nod to Ralph being a demonic or devilish presence on the show and that we may or may not be feeling sorry for him here.
@gregsgoogle2947
@gregsgoogle2947 5 ай бұрын
@@normie2716 A priest quoting Stones lyrics as if he was quoting from the Bible is symbolically linking Ralph as the Devil. Otherwise it wouldn’t make any sense for a priest to be so wildly inaccurate by quoting rock lyrics for spiritual advice. Ralph never caught on he wasn’t quoting from the Bible. Only we the audience caught it because that’s who the line & symbolic meaning was for. The writers even altered the lyrics from a statement (“I was there when Jesus Christ...”) to a question (“Where you there when Jesus Christ...???”). Hence he’s symbolically asking Ralph if he’s the Devil. And because the entire episode Ralph was pulling hard on our heart strings for our sympathy, we were tempted to have or maybe had sympathy for the Devil... which is exactly what the song describes as our primal fault... feeling sympathy for the Devil that ultimately just wants to kill you.
